The Spanish league is deff the closet, with 6 teams capable of beating our top 4 on their day. In order: Barcelona, Real madrid, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Villareal. All of those are top 4 quality. In fact the league is great until you get to the bottom 5 teams, at whic point we are talking mid championship level. If La Liga BBVA gets a deal like the Premiership and the soon to be new italian top division's new deal, then i predict they will dominate.

Villareal is a top quality team, when we played them I was very impressed. But then Arsenal made them look easy and I don't think either Sevilla or Athletico Madrid, although they are great teams, could threaten a champs league final and Valencia aren't as good as they were a good few years ago. Even Real Madrid aren't looking great these days. Spanish league is definately the closest but in reality they are no where near the English top 3/4 except Barca.

Dude while i LIVED there i saw a lot of games both there and at espanyol's stadium in the olympic village on Mt. Monjuic. (try taking a calbe car down the mountain with lots of drunk fans in really bad fucking wind. funniest thing eva)

When i remember back to that game England v Portugal when Owen Hargreaves ran his lungs out and won over the entire country with his non stop effort, and i look at the game tonight. I wonder exactly why was the same sort of commitment devoid of any man u player tonight.

They played like it was any old game. It was the last game of the season with a massive prize at stake. Injuries and yellow cards didn't matter. They gave the ball away far too easily, didn't keep hold of the ball, and generally played like shit.

Well done Barcelona. Worthy winners.

(It makes Chelsea's last 2 games against them look very good in retrospect)

Celtic are the exact f*cking same except Brown, virtually no fight in the last two league games. Players like Samaras for us and Berbatov for Man U just don't give the same effort for the shirt.

And I honestly didn't see that coming Man U got destroyed they weren't even close, that first goal just killed them off. Well done to Barca, they have great fans and deserve it for the entertaining footy they play.
