I am interested in the map-making progress and may possibly try and make a map. Now I don't want to even attempt that until I understand how the foundry works a little better and until I know more about the map making process. I have read through "How to make a map handbook" and "Map Making Tools" but I still feel fairly lost. For somebody who is way, way out of their depth in the map foundry, where is a good place to start? What section should I read through the most if I'm starting from square one and am trying to learn more about maps, the map making progress, and map making tools/techniques?
In this very subforum there is an announcement at the top titled: "Mapmaker's Guide to the Foundry - in progress" Apologies that I can't link on this, but if you read through that it should give you a better idea of how it works.

I completely missed that. Was a TON of help... Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction.
One more question. In the drafting room section I see some map ideas that are stickyed and others that aren't. Why do some become that way while others don't...
The stickies are maps ready for or in the process of the "Preliminary Review" -- essentially they are "advanced drafts" almost ready for the Draft stamp. The P. Review is the last step of a map in the Drafting Room.

It looks like you've been given all the info you need so far... if there's anything else you want to know about, or would like an opinion on, feel free to either post here or drop a PM to any of the Foundry Assistants... just don't ask us to teach you the secret handshake
