tournaments

is there a number of players a tourney needs to have to be a tourney? 8, 16? What is the lowest number?

No, but there is a lower limit to the number of players before a tournament is considered "sanctioned" (perhaps a bad choice of term on my part), meaning before a tournament medal is awarded to the winner or the tournament organizer gets official credit for it. I don't recall what that limit is, but it's in the Tournament Handbook I'm pretty sure.

ok =) thanks. I searched but didnt find anything.

EDIT: found it: You must have at least 16 total players.

My name is allen ... i think you at least need 16 players to make it interesting... if you don't find any i will glad to part of it...
