It's called the FOE button................. But to remove a players ability to chat in game is to restrictive. It can be as much of a strategy as the actual deploy & attacks.......

Everybody keeps yelling about "this is just swearing" and how that's not breaking the rules. Apparently, the presumption is that Fred didn't devolve past that into routinely abusive behavior. Why is that so easy to overlook for all of you?

Show me where fred made post that are questionable? How about some live chat that is questionable?

I'm not saying that he did. I don't even disagree with you that he doesn't appear to have done so. What I'm saying is that it's certainly a possibility and like you, I don't have all of the information that those making the decision do (though some seem to be pretending to).

I think that's definitely over-stating the case. You have to keep in mind that the ones who are most likely to be involved in this thread are those who are upset about the situation (thus, those who liked him). That's not to say that there aren't other reasons for being here (there definitely are), but that will be a large part of it...thus perhaps giving you that mis-impression.

I dont really like or dislike Fred, and I have never even spoken to him properly, but I knew him to be a good player. Can we at least know the reasons for the ban? something more than "he brought it upon himself"?

I understand that the jeff hardy account was locked because max used it to put a rant up. No probs with that decision. But why ban Fred VIII?
