Agreed, as long as he's not sending out PMs to those ?s to get them to join.alstergren wrote:Well, 4 games doesn't make it farming. I looked through bcj23's game list, and there are indeed an amazing number of ?s in there.
The problem is this: the games have been started by bcj23 and are:
- Classic Shapes
- Standard
- Freestyle
- Escalating
- Chained fortifications
- Sunny
Starting such games can never constitute farming, no matter how many ?s who join.

Of course it doesn't. Once again, this is a public forum.saxitoxin wrote:"Agreed?"Woodruff wrote:

Woodruff does not = mod
Absolutely. But if you're truly concerned, come join the game I've just created and we can keep each other awake.saxitoxin wrote:Woodruff, do you ever sleep
You shouldn't swear.saxitoxin wrote:I swear, you're just like Woodsie sometimes.
You and I are on the same page i was just sick of the fight in chat about it, so to settle the issue I reported bjc. IF it were a harder map I would probably agree that he is a farmer. But come on it is classic, most noobs start at classic because they are vaguely familiar with it and then of course they want to play a high rank makes them feel all powerfulalstergren wrote:Well, 4 games doesn't make it farming. Starting such games can never constitute farming, no matter how many ?s who join. Map/settings are too common/popular. But why are there so many ?s in bcj23's games? If (and this is a big if, ´cause I have no idea) bcj23 starts a number of games with these settings, then drops games where ranked players join/foeing them, just keeping games with ?s, well, then it looks like farming to me. Otherwise not.
apey - Care to expand on this issue?
Well CLEARLY, I am creating a ton of multiple accounts and having them deadbeat. Hey, once in a while, I may tend to play using one of the multis just for the sheer enjoyment factor. Oh! And even sometimes, I actually pay for premium membership for one of my multis and play against it: Game 5212602. What the heck..why not, eh? I have money to spend. bigdaddyslim2 really caught me on this one...time to hang up the ole hat and part ways with conquerclub...b/c I've been bamboozled!alstergren wrote: But why are there so many ?s in bcj23's games?
How ya doin, buddy?saxitoxin wrote:BJC is a close personal friend of mine IRL. I can attest for him 100%. He is who he says he is.
Owen plays on other maps than feudal, I play a lot of team games with owen on maps other than feudal. As stated earlier in a game starting a game, and having a noob join is not farming, inviting noobs to join is. I for one have almost given up on non private feudal games, as muppets keep on joining then deadbeating. I and I'm sure owen as well would much prefer to play against decent players, more of a challenge, and more points to be earned. IT DOES NOT CUT DOWN OWENS GAME TIMES AT ALL, have been in a few 5player games where three ? deadbeat, that increases game time a hell of a lot. Do the maths 3X24X3 that is 216hours wasted....... I do agree that most farming allegations are witch hunting, chase multis not farmers I say!DJPatrick wrote:just an idea from left field guys...perhaps the noobs are farmiong bjc23???
Have a look at Owenators games on Feudal (don't play elsewhere so don't know)...
He starts the games and there are a hell of a lot of newbs joining them and then dead-beating..
What does this acheive? well, as someone who's been pretty active on this forum busting cheats and multis,,,what it does do is cut down Owen's game times and make others not fillibustering not to keen on joining him in games that continually go nowhere...
What's the result?
Clogging up CC games and screwing the rankings system...
Who'd do that?
Read recently on this forum of at least one player spamming for an alternate site then screwing up gameplay...
As most of these newbs are freemium, perhaps this is an attack on the integrity of the site rather than any one individual's newbie-farming...
Witch-hunt...Witch-hunt...
thorts???

To that, I ask: How could I possibly locate so many noobs in such a small time interval (especially finding some to join games that I made before they even joined the site)?BoganGod wrote:having a noob join is not farming, inviting noobs to join is.
Not helping.saxitoxin wrote:BJC is a close personal friend of mine IRL. I can attest for him 100%. He is who he says he is.

Wait wait wait...veteran player? I have been here for a mere couple months. I had to ask someone what farming is. I just create the games, now you are saying I cannot play my games and settings of choice? Seriously? Check my games, I have made different kinds of games.king achilles wrote:Checking the games he has right now, I see a lot of Classic Freestyle games with new recruits in them.
So creating 5-player Classic Freestyle games seem to attract a lot of new recruits? Yes, we can suspect you of newbie farming if you continue to restrict yourself in creating these kind of games. We suggest that you diverse your choice of creating games from time to time and hopefully, you won't be plague with new recruits constantly. We can not control new recruits from joining games they would like to try, but as a veteran player, if you already know the rules, you know the type that which attracts the new recruits, then make some adjustments with your choices as it can be an issue if most of your games consists of new recruits all the time.

veteran or no veteran, I thought the rules said experienced members shouldn't JOIN games that recruits started; shouldn't create private games to invite new recruits to; didn't know - until this thread - that we now have to monitor who's joining our public games and stop playing them if the wrong sort join them.apey wrote:a couple of months is nuff to b called a veteran bj You know the rules is all he was saying you were noted not like you got warned er nuthin![]()

I don't know why someone who enjoys a specific map has to change their preferences. It's not their fault most people join because of the classic map, they just enjoy that map the most.king achilles wrote:Checking the games he has right now, I see a lot of Classic Freestyle games with new recruits in them.
