"Bold if Owned" hard to read [Done]

Post by andyr601 »

May I make the suggestion to underline spoils if owned and not use bolding. I have a hard time determining if they are bold or not. Others I have polled said they sometimes have a hard time determining if they are bold too.
Thanks,

Good thinking, I don't see why not :)

You used the form wrong though, all you have to do is fill in the categories given with the appropriate details.

totally agree. for instance on the classic map. I had a hard time trying to tell with blue and esp. green cards when the name is so short. like, F1 and F1 The one on the right is bold and usually you can make out the bold color quickly and easily but with short words it's a little harder. Not good when you're rushing your opponent.

Yep, there are definitely times when I have to look very closely (getting old sucks!) to tell if it's bolded or not. The underline would be much easier on my geezerishness.

One of the biggest reasons I hate playing on classic shapes.

Great idea. I play on my laptop a lot. If the screen is at all dim, I can't make out if my spoils are bold. I end up searching the map for a match.

I've had this happen. NOT cool in small speed games where that extra 2 makes all the diffrence.

Across this website we use underline to indicate hyperlinks. I don't want people thinking they should click on their spoils.

perhaps {braced} if owned or [bracketed] if owned?

I think [easier] on the eyes and easier to pick up on.

That's exactly what I was going to say regarding the underline! Italics could work, but [brackets] would be the most distinct and helpful.

Hmmm .... I think that could be another idea, click on the spoils to use them? Instead of asking every time if you want to use them?
