How can i roll 1 or 2 dice when attacking?

I believe this should be allowed as per origional rules

When you attack with a territory that has 3 armies placed on it, then you will roll with 2 dice.
When you attack with a territory that has 2 armies placed on it, then you will roll with 1 die.

There is no way to attack with one or two dice when you have 3 or more armies on a territory, but hey, who would want to do that anyway?

Because you can advance as few armies as you want into a newly conquered territory even when you roll three dice, there would be no strategic advantage ever to rolling only one or two dice when you could roll three.

also this is not risk it is CC 10000 mill X better so yeah we play by our own rules

yes i know it rolls 2 dice when havin 3 armies on the teritory, but i recon the game should have an option to be able to roll 1,2 or 3 dice when i attacking. this can be very handy when you are attacking teritory with 2 armies on it and want only 1 to be left...

in the game i play now, outcome of the game depends on this...

To the posters above who mentioned that there is no strategic advantage to rolling 2 dice or rolling 1 die, I disagree! The advantage to rolling just one die is that you don't risk losing 2 armies. Huge strategic advantage to rolling just one die.

well you cant do it. And its dangerous enough using 2 die to try to kill one die that wins ties. The odds of actually winning one die vs 2, when the 2 win ties, is actually less than the odds of just throwing 2 dice and hoping one is left. It still approaches the odds of having one left, even if you throw three.

Sure, you could get lucky and win it, but youre more likely to just kill one anyways. And if youre hope in a game hinges on the hope of you throwing one die, against 2 that win ties, youve already lost.
