Concise description:

• I want a new name and record that looks brand new... I wont be buying premium if there isnt some way this can be changed... this will stop many people from becoming multiple accounts and I think it is fair if I have dumped $50.00 in this site

Specifics:

• New record and Name for 2nd time premium buyers... leave the previous name and record in the user profile... I love this site, why cant i change my name, it was from back when i was in the navy, means aerographers mate aka weather man... i am no longer AM

yeah, good luck with that... name changes are only given out due to extenuating circumstances. and i do not believe that no longer liking your name is an extenuating circumstance.... your only chance is to fill out an e-ticket outlining your request and reason for it. if you do that, a mod/admin will officially respond to your request. again, good luck!!-0

E-tickets are quite simple, actually. And you can find them under the RULES tab (called a "support ticket").

Not going to happen. The problem is, there are two servers; the forums and the game, and they are interlinked. To change it on one would be to break the link, and then to try and change the name in 5,000,000 game logs in games you have participated in would never work. So, cya, don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out, etc.

Maybe you shouldn't choose a username if you're going to cry about it later.

Also, the main problem with name changes, is that it will encourage bad play, bad posting, and bad sportsmanship.

If one is able to simply do these things, and later wash their hands of it, and get a new name, it is simply unfair to all.

Further, for a good player to leave and come back as an anonymous one, the advantage is huge for a while.

I simply see no real reason why it is necessary, minus an absolute mistake in the making of it in the first place. If youre so bored with your name, that youre willing to leave the game, my guess is you dont love the game all that much either, and youre half using it as an excuse. Either way, it is posted as an ultimatum, and those are very rarely effective. Typically, they are actually counter productive...

Further, the $50 gave you two full years of unlimited posting, and games on CC. In my opinion, you got far more out of the site than you paid, so I dont think CC owes you anything. I think its the other way around.

I see your point but when CC states that they will offer name changing "in the future" I think that AM has grounds for his request.

That means, whenever they have solved the problem that would be caused by this idea, and when it recieves priority above all the other hundreds of ideas currently being coded (New Maps, Infected Neutrals, Team Terminator/Assassian, etc).

Personally, I don't want major net-splits from the game and forums due to some idiot needing a name changed from what he chose.
