I must've been over in Germany when that came out, because I've never seen it. That is hilarious.

"Chicks dig the long ball." Nothing was better when a Dodger pitcher who I couldn't recall for the moment hit one out and Vin Scully said it. Now that was classic.

Things are heating up
The Dodgers and Indians are in serious discussions about a blockbuster that would send left-hander Cliff Lee and catcher Victor Martinez to Los Angeles for first baseman James Loney, one of the Dodgers' young starting pitchers and prospects, according to major-league sources.

They've had an absolutely brutal time with the injury bug this season. For god's sake, Reyes, their speedster SS has been on the DL for what...a month or so...because his leg cramped up on him during a plane flight! (Turned out to be much worse than just a cramp, obviously...)

oh well, The Killings was correct.

i didnt count on the Toronto GM being a complete idiot.

However, the Phillies made a great deal to get Cliff Lee. They held onto their top prospects.

Myers will be back in August and will help out in the bullpen.

Let's hope the Phitin Phils repeat

Halladay isn't a free agent until after next year, so Toronto wasn't in a hurry to get a deal done. They still have the upcoming offseason and next year to get a trade they want.

I'm sure they will probably move him this offseason to a team who's GM is trying to save his job by aquiring a big name player. My guess would be a team like the Brewers who have been competitive recently, but need that all-star starting pitcher to put them over the hump (like Sabathia last year). It's all just a matter of getting their bang for the buck for Halladay.

And could the Tigers score more than 3 runs for once in their fucking lives. I swear to god I could have a better batting average than half the limp wristed morons playing for that team. If it weren't for the starting pitching they'd have about 8 wins right now.

They are currently up 8-2 in the bottom of the 5th at Arlington. However, Verlander has the bases loaded with only 1 down, and a 3-2 count on Young.

Young just doubled, 8-4 Detroit.

Good man. I like Chipper, though he's winding down. Assuming he doesn't have a major injury like some kind of tendon or ligament damage (or something like that) I think he has 3-4 more years left but last year I think is going to be his last truly great year.

I'm just hoping the best farm team for the rest of MLB
can hold it together and make the playoffs this year.

Who is the farm team for the rest of the majors wonder?
Why the Texas Rangers of course.

They've been overachieving and fun to watch this season.

Yeah it's like every future great player plays for them until they start playing to their potential and end up going somewhere else.

But it's not actually a "now of days" thing because it was from the 2003 tests before the rules were even in place.

After hearing some of the comments today, I do think some of these players should start suing somebody for a breach of contract because all those names were supposed to stay anonymous.

Have the steroids magically disappeared since then?
