Good job for a first draft. If you work with someone who can do your graphics and take advice from the community, you may have a cool map here.

Wolffy

Ps. Are those rivers on the moon? You may want to somehow turn said barriers into CRATERS.

I considered applying, but decided I would be better off elsewhere...

im sorry but there are no rivers on the moon. its a good idea but i think it needs to be a little more realistic. it is a fact that there are no traces of intelligence of any kind on the moon so there can not be aliens either. like i said, i would love to have a moon map but i think it needs to be a little more true to science. if you want to do aliens then try a different planet or even a moon that hasnt been proven otherwise. nice 1st draft though

Yeah nobody will play a moon map with rivers apart from saxitoxin. I think we need craters as territories and territory names need to be the actual crater names - not just crater 1 etc..

Here`s the full moon Atlas. It has all the names of everything on the moon. No aliens!

There hasn't been liquid water on the Moon in 4.5 billion years. (if at all) The rocks have been baked dry. To quote Mr. Spock from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan "It's essentially a giant rock in space" even though the quote isn't about our Moon, the quote applies none-the-less. There are supposedly ice hiding in craters at the south pole in spots where there are constant shadow. But those'll never give you rivers.

If you want believable fantasy/science fiction here, I think you have to go further than "50" years into the future. Otherwise you need craters, mare, rilles, rays, etc.

Well, you haven't used the holy word and you have added some new ideas. :D

Consider developing the setting and graphics: maybe huge space centres and huge, enclosed colony cities?

Maybe a central space centre has some mega-defense laser beam that can destroy asteroids, and maybe even planets?

The objective could be to take control of the laser before invading aliens do, or politicians

But most of all, I agree to ditching the rivers and settling for craters-most players would find it too far fetched. Unless you have an intro about the setting being a long time in the future when mankind has created an atmosphere and water cycle on the moon?.
Maybe it could be another planet on the far side of the galaxy?

Btw, it is impossible to code an objective that you have to hold for 2 turns instead of 1 in the current xml.

I like the idea, but it needs some work.

Someone suggested using craters as territories, which I quite like. You could then use barbed wire as unpassables (since it's war anyway).
I also suggest making one more alien continent, as now it looks like 3 human bases against one alien.

Put on vacation under mapmaker request. If the mapmaker want to continue this map, a CA will move the thread back to the main foundry after an update is posted.
