I'm sorry that I've never been a mason before. I didn't know that not playing that one role makes me a noob. I thought they functioned just like lovers (which I've been twice) which can talk during the day.

He picks a person to watch at night. During the night he sees anyone that visits that target although he doesn't know what they are doing to that target. if the person remains alive then usually that is a sign that a "good guy" visited them such as a doctor or cop or roleblocker, occasionally however a scum can also be noticed visiting them where they still live. congrats squirral on being a numbskull that just painted the scum's target on my head while you continue to act like a scum if not for how your claimed action played out.

I already know perfectly well what a watcher is. You could have saved those two minutes of writing. In fact, I knew what masons were too, I was just mistaken in thinking that they could talk during the day as well as night. And, there are such things as mafia masons (which if you don't know, are mafia members who can talk amongst the townies of the mason group) so just claiming mason isn't enough here. In fact, pmc specifically said before his death that he believed one of the masons to be scum. Seeing as how he was right about thez, I'm very inclined to believe him.

And, there is probably not going to be a target on your head. Assuming you aren't scum yourself, no scum would be stupid enough to kill you. You are most suspicious person in the game right now (in my opinion). If the mafia decided to kill you, it would just minimize the amount of suspects the town has tomorrow, making it easier to find him. I probably have a much more prominent target painted on me due to the fact that I am a proven townie and none of you guys suspect me. I thought someone as experienced as yourself would recognize that.

Personally, I don't believe your claim and I think you are just trying to save yourself by claiming an investigative role.

At this point, it seems like there is probably only one mafia left in my opinion. It also seems like there is a halfway decent chance that that person has infiltrated the mason group and that if that is the case, then it is either LSU or sam. But, I am not also completely sure about pancake's innocence just yet. He claims to be able to kill people at night. If he is scum he could try to prove this by simply stating that whomever the scum killed was killed by him and this would be true and therefore watcher proof as well...

No one has countered my claim. The scene even references me, not stroke failing at targeting someone, so don't bring that out.

STROKEM BIN LADEN FOUND DEAD IN DOMESTIC SHOOTING

Suspected terrorist leader Strokem bin Laden was found dead early this morning after neighbors reported claims of a possible burglary. When police arrived at the scene they discovered the scene of an apparent struggle between an Islamic man and the perpetrator, who had fled the scene. After a cursory check of the body and a more thorough search of the residence it is believed that the dead man was Strokem. Police had this to say at a morning press conference regarding the incident, "While this is indeed fortunate for us in that a major terrorist no longer poses a threat, our town will not tolerate vigilante justice, and the perpetrator of this crime will be brought to justice."

During a follow up interview, the police department was reported to be having a party. Postings of the possible vigilante suspects included Bigfoot, El Chupacabra, and DaGip.

I think that the scene doesn't give us enough information about what stroke did to determine who he targeted, but it's clear that he was attacked (by me ) and not the assailant himself. I'd guess that stroke was not killed in attempt, as was previously thought. We therefore have two possibilities:

1. Stroke failed and that was the end of it. There remains one scum, in the group originally.

2. Stroke succeeded in recruiting someone. He is the final scum remaining.

3. A twisted combination of 1 and 2. There are two left and we're at LYLO. (It better not be this)

I'm not so convinced about CW anymore. Why? I found a better target: You, spiesr! Again, why? Simply this: PMC is the most recognized person in this game and clearly a vet. If I'm recruiting, who am I gonna want on my team? The best player, naturally. And since PMC is the best, why not? Enter Squirrel to throw a wrench in that plan. PMC is whisked to safety and spiesr is put in the line of fire. He explains it with this:

It looks like strokem went you to recruit pmc last night and you managed to switch him to me; which was incredibly lucky as I was unrecruitable and would kill anyone who tried to recruit me. I am guessing that this is how strokem died. Since their leader is dead I don't see any big reason to keep this a secret anymore.So it looks like captianwalrus is pretty much cleared for the time being as I strongly doubt the mafia started with a politician.

SPIESR BLOWS UP PANCAKEMIX IN DEADLY ACT OF COWARDICE

Late this evening, too late for this reporter to care, known terrorist spiesr ran into pancakemix's house and intentionally blew himself up, killing pancakemix and seriously injuring his family, in what officials are calling an extreme act of cowardice. Spiesr, who was the last of a group of terrorists in Conquerville was being investigated for being a terrorist, claims he wanted to go down in a ball of glory instead of being hung in shame on the town's gallows.

Thankfully it seems to develop quite differently. Last time the terrorists recruited a double voter on N1 and from then on the game was pretty done and dusted.

From what I gathered, CT1 had a stacked scum group. This time, town seemed pretty stacked. They had the power to kill the scum leader Night 1 and from there the mafia has to play a near perfect game in order to have a chance at winning, and having only two kills that cost the lives of the killers makes this a difficult setup for a mafia team. That, plus town mason group makes this game unbalanced. Or we just got really lucky.

What exactly were the mechanics of recruitment? Did recruitees just become terrorists? Also, the full list of roles and actions would be nice, just to confirm a few things and provide a bit more constructive criticism.

Great game, though I have to agree with pancakes that this seemed oddly unbalanced in the town's favor. Not that I'm complaining though.

Wasn't really that much of a difference in the set-up from what I've seen, sure Town was somewhat beefed up but nothing that really mattered. What did the difference was that in CT1 we recruited the politician on night 1 and here we lost our recruiter on night 1. Or as holo said when he told us about the outcome of night 1:

I'll get the action log and roles up soon, but you all pretty much worked out who each other were.

If strokem hadn't have gotten killed that first night it would've been more evenly balanced, especially if say the politician were recruited again or someone in CTU was recruited, which very nearly happened when srokem recruited pmc, but fortunately for the town Mr. Squirrel end up bussing pmc and spiesr, having strokem recruit one of his own before being lit the f*ck up by pancakemix. Then when Thezz blew himself up, spiesr could've only come out with a tie.

I think if I do this again, the Terrorists will have some kind of nightkill ability and town will have more daytime functions.
