this would be a great map, but copyrights might be an issue with the names of the companies, no?

and this map looks a little dated, some of these sites arent as popular/small as they were long ago. IE: Facebook is definatly one of the biggest ones, compared to the rest of those...

I can also summarize what happened last time, I followed it pretty closely.

Permission was, at the time, granted from XKCD, according to a.sub.

The problem was the geography for it was bad for CC from the start. He had to move all kinds of stuff around, delete things from that map, divide them into split territories, all this stuff. It finally got vacationed because it was just too many headaches with too little promise.

And I agree, it is fairly outdated at this time.

If you really want to do something like this, I would suggest making it from scratch.

Lol, friendster is as big as Facebook on there. I don't really think it would make that great of a CC map though, now that I look at it more.
