I REALLY want that bumper sticker.pimpdave wrote:Further proof we should just reoccupy the South -- Red states. Let's pull out of Iraq and stabilize those "united" states with the worst literacy rates.

And John McCain was born in Panama. The whole birther movement is just a reflection of how the racist portion of the country is working out their rage at having a half black president and trying to come up with some way, anyway, to discredit him.Nobunaga wrote:... The racist movement against the president is perpetuated by supporters of the president who want anyone who disagrees with the president to be marginalized.pimpdave wrote:And John McCain was born in Panama. I think you really must be insulated by suburban life with your only outlets being cable tv and corporate culture.thegreekdog wrote:

I've agreed with you before when you said the "tea parties" weren't racist, but the "birthers" definitely are, I have no doubts about them.thegreekdog wrote: The racist movement against the president is perpetuated by supporters of the president who want anyone who disagrees with the president to be marginalized.
No sh!t. So do I. See below.Titanic wrote:I've agreed with you before when you said the "tea parties" weren't racist, but the "birthers" definitely are, I have no doubts about them.
It's not a salacious counter-accusation. Simply put, it has been clear to me from the drop, when then-candidate Obama threw his hat into the ring, that when a person disagreed with the man, they would be labelled a racist. President Obama's campaign did it successfully to Hillary Clinton in the primary. They didn't need to use it with McCain. They are absolutely using it now. Is President Obama behind it? Of course not, but his supporters certainly are.pimpdave wrote:So keep making such salacious counter accusations, but the love affair with racism really isn't coming from supporters of the president.
... I was joking, actually (even though my kids were born overseas).pimpdave wrote:And John McCain was born in Panama. And again, you're off in your own little world ranting away. Wrong thread for universal healthcare, this is about how stupid the South is. And my claim about racism doesn't go backwards, the way yours does, I'm saying that every admitted racist I've met has also been a birther. In my accusation, the racism goes the other direction.thegreekdog wrote:Are there racists? Yes. Do they hate the president because he's black? Yes. Are the 56% who are against universal healthcare racist? No. Are they being labelled racists? F$cking-a right they are.
