what a mess. there should be some kind of criteria for clans to join the league... commitment to finish and minimum of 2 completed challenges or something.
had i been wise, i would have seen that her simplicity cost her a fortune

I tried to be as inclusive as possible. Clans like Sky Force and Water's Fury had completed challenges. On the other hand there were clans like TOFU and Grim Reapers and....who had no completed challenges are doing just fine. Season 3 will be more strict.

umm yea, how do ensure commitment?

The answer to everything is not more challenges and more games.

and while we're at it - if a player defects mid-season he/she should not be eligible to play for his/her new clan in that same
CLA season

That would mean a clan like KotRT would be unable to enter.

Sorry I'd I asked this already. But since we were facing exicitum in week 2 and only a few games finished. Does that mean we win all games by default? Or will they not be counted?

They will not be counted. It will be a bye week for your clan and all other clans who should have played games against them in other weeks.

This is where JP will have to use his judgement. I am sure he can pick the clans who will make it and who will crumble pretty easy in most cases.

I think that this may mean that some sort of proof will be needed. We'll see how many clans apply for Season 3 and we could introduce more play-ins and limit the league size. Right now, I think we are stable for the remainder of Season 2.

Have your established/dependable clans in two divisions (Div.1A & 1B), then the remainder go in one lower division all together. That way if a clan drops out you have a more dynamic format in the lower division, e.g. 11 teams in each division (tot.33 clans). In the event a clan drops out of Div.2 it's not much change to go from 11 to 10 (or 11 to 12 if a new clan joins) and avoids trying to maintain balanced numbers such as you are doing now in Divs 2A & 2B.

Just a thought.

But doesn't that kind of throw out the whole move up or down system as outlined originally? I was a pretty big fan of that :)

I could see the promotion/relegation still working under that scenario.

Bottom team in 1A = relegated
Bottom team in 1B = relegated
Top two in Div.2 = promoted
Div 1A last-but-one team plays Div 1B last-but-one. The loser plays 3rd placed Div.2 for promotion/relegation. So 3 can go up, 3 can go down (4 from Div.2 would be too many I reckon).

So the moving up and down still works. I agree...that's part of the fun of this season

Just to make sure, we're not going to change anything this season are we?

I still like the current idea where a minimum of four and maximum of six teams can move up/down... Really adds to the fun in my opinion :)

I'm almost sure they won't change anything this season. The ideas are merely to be taken into consideration for Season 3. I must say though, I'd be hard-pressed to find six teams in Div.2 that could justifiably replace six from Div.1 - that's quite a large number and would possibly create a large divide in terms of ability in Season 3 (i.e. it may be the same clans that keep going up and down all the time)

A season is long. I think there will be new good clans formed which will enter the league on the bottom and move up quickly every year. As long as they don't get special treatment and moved directly up like some others have been ;)

Was that a stab at us? I cannot tell? At either rate, I am sure people in D 1A wished we had been placed D2 ;)
