Hello All, i am relatively new to CC but i am already firmly addicted and enjoying every second of it.
However one area i am left scratching my head about is the points system. So far i have a win rating of 50% but i just dont seem to be leveling up, i often come across players with a win rating of 39% who are far superior in rank. How does the point system work as it never seems to be the same and varies from game to game?
And what is the best way to level up, lots of little one player games or throw caution to the wind and jump in some all out 6player war fair with the big guns and get my ass kicked just on the off chance i win a couple of games.
I appreciate this question has probably been asked a million times since this site was created but some advice would be appreciated.
Be sure to click on all of the links at the top of the home page. Instructions, rules, etc.
Click on "Instructions", then "score, ranking and medals" there is a description of how points are awarded on that page. try to click on as many of these links as possible, there is a tremendous amount of info available.

The best way to rank up is stay away from 1 vs 1 games. Yes sure they are fun, but you will likely top out at about Lt or Capt if you are lucky. Learn to play team games, and or escalating multiplayer games and you will move up nicely. I recommend you join the SoC of the cooks to learn escalating multiplayer games.

You probably know that score's are calculated with the formula: (loser's score / winner's score) * 20
If you like 1vs1 games you can easily get to captain, if you play against high ranks and keep your 50% winning.
Use game finder to find 1 on 1 games on wich you think you have a 50% or more chance of winning, and only play gainst people with a higher rank than you have.
