Maybe they were asked not to say anything. Maybe they just chose not to say anything. Maybe OP just put together his go-to list but hasn't actually gone to them yet. If I were putting together the list, I wouldn't necessarily want it made public because then forum members would try to pressure those individuals to push their views rather than just getting the views of the contributors at that point in time.

OP clearly said "I don't need to". Not "I haven't yet" or "I want to keep this private so that we can have some honest discussions without the rest of CC knowing who is in on these discussions". Based on OP's choice of words, he believes that he does not need to make it public, and that we should accept that.

Although I have no firsthand knowledge of any animosity between Shooter and OP, I can clearly see it in OP's words. Professionalism is a learned skill, ...Civility is lesson #1.
