If you were given the power to revamp the map list that Conquer Club currently offers, what maps would you remove from Conquer Club, and why?
Would you be removing them for "the good of website" (what the heck does that event mean?)?
Would you be removing them for personal/clan reasons ("I/we never win on Bamboo Jack")?
Are they all similarly themed, either graphically or mechanically ("I can't stand the look of the USA Map pack" or "I dislike the Age of Realms series game play...")?

How about just plain bad maps? This can be defined as maps that get little to no play. This would help to keep the quality of CC very high and would serve newer players better who might be overwhelmed with the high number (and at times poor quality) of maps. *edited to add* this would also make the game feature *random* a more positive and interesting experience.
Poker Club and Route 66 need to be revisited....WAY too many neutrals in relation to the number of troops are afforded a player on the drop/deployment, consequently neither are fun......unless you like beating your head against a wall.

Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”
If I were doing an edit, I'd take out the dupes, the maps where gameplay is similar to others. Take out the least-played. But leave in popular dupes, eg several classic-style maps. Maybe, however, you don't remove maps at all, but simply re-list them. The 50 most-played maps become core maps, always on display for everyone. One click on are the minority-choice maps, accessible to those who want to find them. New maps go onto the core list & are reviewed after 6 months. A small number of maps are temporarily promoted from specialist to core on a rotating basis to keep the list fresh. That way casual players are not overwhelmed with choice, but established players get variety. The specialist map list could even be a premium feature.

To dick around with people and laugh.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."
Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

Yes, something along these lines would be the way to go. Only the top 50 or so most played maps, should remain on the main "core" list.
However there are certain maps that are continuously abused (argh B Jack/City Mogul, etc).
Whether that's something for this discussion or not I don't know, but there are definitely two categories of maps: gimmicky (Age's maps/New World/City Mogul/etc.) and regular old maps like, uh, er, CLASSIC

Lordhaha is my hero too.
in my honest opinion i think that no maps should be removed at all. i like the option to play it even if it is not played often it gives variety to the site and makes sure you have something for everyone if you don't like a map just visit the map foundry more often! and give impute more often.
Also I would try to start threads like this in the FOUNDRY FORUM, where they belong.
yes, this whas mine thinking to. In past all mine attempt with these themes, whas very fast locked, with Mods explanation" Map themes not belong in General Discusion"
Change around the order by putting my favorites at the top (like the USA Map Pack, or Rail Maps) , and my least favorites down at the bottom (like Germany 2)

qft
i play just on all of the maps, and none of them are bad maps. no reason to remove any of them. that being said, it would be nice if the most commonly played maps did come up first, like maybe if it showed you the top 20-40 maps before the rest...

I would not remove a single map, nor do I think any should be removed. Each map has it's own variances and individuals who enjoy playing them. Given that someone can "just not play there" on a map they don't like, I don't see any logical reason to ever remove any of them.

A random game can end up on a clusterfuck like City mogul. That is reason enough to delete bad maps. Or have a random "build map" option vs a random "normal gameplay" map option.
nothing wrong with a little bit of man on dog love.

But see...that's the BEAUTY of "random map". Honestly, I see it that way. You're risking the unknown and by doing so, you're saying you are willing to accept that risk along with the others in the game. Takes away the specialist potential, which is in my opinion one of the diseases of the site, at least as far as players go.
