I still don't get why some teams got a round 1 bye.

My team mate and I are on our 3rd round in this series, already beating the competition in 2 other rounds while our competitors have only played and beaten 1 other team.

I think its a legit question to find out why our road was harder then others. We have had to play 1 extra round which is 2 games and win out to advance. Which isn't too big of a deal but when its a single elimination from the winners bracket it kinda matters.

If the reason is cause these teams that got the first round bye is cause they have a higher point total together and are higher seeded then so be it. I just wanted an answer.

The seeding was because of total points, the best way to make the bracket manageable was to give the top 4 teams a bye.

You mean top 8. That's fine it just never stated anywhere in the sign ups that if you sign up and you and your partner collectively have points to make you the top 8 of the contest you would get a 1 round bye. Just asking.

Make the point handicapped have a tougher road.

yeah they are seeded based on points but no where does it say the top seeds receive a bye and wont have to play the extra game that everyone else does. That's a tid bit that is quite relevant but not mentioned
