Man, reading that website is giving me a headache.

You got some real bad reasons to let 16 year-old kids vote. Most of them are just outright wrong. The website itself is a good reason NOT to let 16-year-old kids vote.

And what's up with the "Facts?" "Below are the things that under 16s cant do and over 21s can do." Well what can kids over 16 do? Isn't this website about 16 year olds?

But why? Judging by your spelling and your username, you still wouldn't get to vote for another 6 years or so.

If you can have sex, then obviously you should vote. Brilliant logic.

Where is your proof that 16 year-olds now are more mature than they were 10, 20, 30 years ago? I believe that they are far LESS mature. Look at pictures of yearbooks from the 50's, and compare those kids with kids from now. They even LOOK more mature. So that point is opinion.

In fact, I don't see any reason to even consider lowering the age. You have no argument. In fact, the whole site is a good reason NOT to let children vote in elections.

At first I thought you guys were being super harsh, but after a quick perusal of site in question I realised you guys are obviously in on the gag. This isn't a real site, it's a joke, a prank on..unsuspecting 16 year olds who care about the world/politics and think voting does anything, of which there are about 3 of them in each Western country. Maybe 5 16 year olds in each Eastern country. All virgins. Ugly. Lepers.

Sorry but we don't need no 16 yr olds voting in Sara Palin because she has boobies.
While some may be mature enough to vote based on actual political opinions and or beliefs, most however are not.
In some cases 16 yr olds shouldn't even be allowed to speak in public based on ignorance alone but hey we cant all have what we want can we?

My website is better

And if anything more restrictions should be placed on voting, far too many idiots vote for the worse candidates.
By the way, most youngsters vote who whichever party their parents vote for. Most simply don't give a damn about politics and will vote whatever way they are told, I really don't want to see more such morons have access to the ballot box,

Maybe.. Maybe.. JUST FUCKING MAYBE, you should get someone to check EVERYTHING before you actually make this site. It would help CONSIDERABLY, and all your facts are shit.

I think there is a better chance of a 16 year old voting for John Kerry because P. Diddy tells him or her to "Vote or Die!"

Although I find the grammar and spelling mistakes as blinding as the colors, his/her website does pose an interesting question. If a 16 year old can be tried in adult court for an adult crime, shouldn't 16 year olds be permitted to vote?

Because for the right crime they'll charge a 12 year old in adult court. That doesn't mean that 12 year olds should vote, does it?

No. I think it means that the 12 year old should not be tried in an adult court.

Is this kind of like the logic where if you're 18 and can enlist in the US military and kill people, then you should be allowed to legally consume alcohol ?

Not really. It's kind of like the reverse of that.

If a 16 year old can't vote because he or she is not responsible enough to vote, how can we honestly say he or she is responsible enough to be tried as an adult? Rather than giving the 16 year old the right to vote, I would argue that he/she should not be tried in adult court.

If an 18 year old can't be responsible enough to drink a beer, how can we honestly say he or she is responsible enough to join the armed forces? Rather than letting the 18 year old drink, I would argue that he/she should not be permitted to join the armed forces. Actually, I think they should be allowed to drink, but I'm trying to make an argument here.

Nobody should be allowed to vote, nobody should be allowed to drink beer, and nobody should be allowed to join the closet cases... I mean, the army.

There. All problems solved!
