Moderator: Clan Directors
i am guessing they are doing a favor for everyone and are currently accepting games even later than 1 week ... (JP?)Execution
- Season 2 has been approved by admin to be run with game creation rights!(But limited to the Clan Directors)
- The primary contacts are asked to order games 2 weeks in advance (using a standard format, hopefully aided with an Excel Order Form for those that would like some tools to help with this.), 1 week at the latest and will need to post in the Clan Season 2 Order Thread - All orders are FINAL
- The Clan Directors will then make the games and send the information to both clans' contacts for that week.
- The league contact is responsible for tracking their home maps. If you order a repeat map, it will be made into a random map.
- The league contacts (and clan partners) are all responsible for making sure their clan fills games
- NO games will be remade
- Clans will default the game if they put too many players into any game.
- Clans are asked to fill the games within 1 week. If a clan is late, they will receive a warning the first time. The second time, they will be defaulted for half of the late games (rounded down), and then if it happens a third time, they will be defaulted on all games.
On the flip side, away teams should not get penalized either.jpcloet wrote:The all random was for simplicity of setup, plus away team should not get an advantage.
Cause random is more intrestin? Why does classic make it any more fair???????the.killing.44 wrote:How about just making it Classic Art (or Shapes, I guess) as the default?
How is making the setting random penalizing the away team? Surely not being able to pick the home maps is worse for the home team than the away team!Scott-Land wrote:On the flip side, away teams should not get penalized either.jpcloet wrote:The all random was for simplicity of setup, plus away team should not get an advantage.

Because you have no idea which teams to put where since you do not know the maps. It is not their fault the home team did not make it in time.
now that that would definitely be a negative for me as wellwaseemalim wrote:Bruceswar wrote:TheBro wrote:How is making the setting random penalizing the away team? But why is that "penalizing" -- it is just fair. I guess the difference lies in how you perceive random maps, you see them as negatives. whereas, they arent really negatives they are just random (hence fair).
Negative would be forcing me to play Feudal.

Ahh but you see there is part of the problem, with randoms you have no clue which maps will come up thus you could get feudal or some map you may not know. It would be like me saying... yeah let put sjnap, loes, and foxglove in a triples of feudal. Mine as well toss away a game. That is something we would never do, but with randoms it could happen. Randoms were meant to punish the home team, but end up punishing the away team also.waseemalim wrote:Bruceswar wrote:TheBro wrote:How is making the setting random penalizing the away team? nailed it.Chariot of Fire wrote: as this is an option that's available to the home team in the first place.
but you may put different triples, be prepared for all the bad scenariosBruceswar wrote:Ahh but you see there is part of the problem, with randoms you have no clue which maps will come up thus you could get feudal or some map you may not know.
