makes the game better. quit moaning... if you really want it changed ask to have it as an option in games setttings instead of just moaning... bitch

It changes nothing. It simply does the math for you. Youre using a computer to recreate a type of board game, because it does all the work for you. You can use a calculator to help with the math, or even your computer calculator. There are addons that do this already, that much of the site employs, but much of the site does not know about, so this levels the playing field.

It gives no information beyond what is available, so the only thing this does, is save some time.

This is a world domination game. Technology is an important part of world domination. It only tallies information, the strategy is all about what you do with that information, and how you act on it.

Anyone who doesnt like this, is really saying that they dont like that other players have a better chance now. It cant possibly be because you yourself dont want the info, because you can always ignore it if you really want to go through the log and count the numbers for yourself.

This eliminates a great inequity that has existed on CC for many years.

The next one will certainly have some complaints from certain "clicks" too Ill bet.

I don't like these new features at all, it gives players info on the game when they should be looking it up on the game logs and analyzing it themselves. Some players dont do that, which makes the players that DO count regions and bonuses the better players. This given info now just takes some of the skill and strategy part out of the game and just makes it more dependent on dice, which sucks.

If being able to count troops, and territories was the only "skill", or "thinking" that you feel gave you an advantage over other players, well, I guess I can understand why you would be upset. For the rest of us (who consider the parts beyond counting to be the skills required) this is just a new layout to get used to.

ps- this has been available for years, as BOB. You can find it in the plugins & add-ons forum of General Discussion.

Will you all complain when we get new maps to play on too? This feature is actually a good idea. Who likes to count?

Its very difficult to ignore when you HAVE TO scroll across to see spoils. No thought went into this change at all. If it was already available 'BOB' as an option it should have stayed that way an option!

As for different maps, we have an option not to play a particular map, we were not given the option to count or not.

This upgrade just makes things easier, only complete idiots who can't do the very basics of math (11+3=14) will benefit from this upgrade..

Only for you. Counting the number of territories and armies is not the key to winning.

Its what you do with that info that matters. If your entire strategy was based on you counting how many armies there were, assuming your opponent didnt, you were mistaken. Bob has counted armies for years, and most experienced players have it downloaded.

And if you cant avoid looking at the right side of the board, while focusing on the map, well... dont blame the upgrade. Its very easy to focus on the map, and it actually requires effort to analyze the info on the other side. I still ignore it on any map where it doesn't matter.

If for some reason you think its more fun to count up the armies, while the number is on your right...than carry on.

But this is a great update for CC, and if you think youll find a site that doesnt already post this info...well...

Remember the time when BOB gave us -1 territs, so when you thought you were going to elim someone, they actually had 1 or 2 more territs. I am ready for that to happen for a day or so with this new option.

I also love the fact that the majority of the complaining that this "takes all the skill out of the game" is done by people with 3 or fewer bars next to their name, while most of the majors don't have a problem with it.

It was hard for me not to mention that...but score is very often a choice more than a pure indication of skill, but without a doubt, the higher you go in the ranks, the more likely the person had BOB. Though many still prefer the old school method...well, some anyways.

The old school method has its perks. I mean, when you wake up in the morning and have 10 games to play, who doesn't have the time to sit and add up the totals for each one? Used to be you needed skill for that. Now anyone with a computer can add quickly and easily. Noobs will be running all over the skilled players in no time.
