It should still be there, but the Game Chat, in my opinion, is a more valuable tool now. Would it be possible to simply switch the order of the two? So that as you scroll down, you hit Game Stats, then Game Chat, and then Game Log?
I think this would increase the use of the chat and many users would appreciate it being more accessible.
I agree the Game Chat needs more visibility. We once ran a poll to see if people prefer chat or log on top, and the results was not decisive. Perhaps after this change we could run a new poll. Also, there is a pending suggestion for a new chat message indicator that I have my eye on...
Keredrex wrote:i still think there is alot of wasted space below the player names. even if there were 8 players. why not place the game info there. game type, fortifications, etc. that would save some vertical space and the horizontal space would not change at all. but, leave the Spoil "cards" directly below the map above the attack buttons. as for the statistics the way you have it works either way.
It is a catch 22. On long maps like Indochina there is wasted space. On the other hand, on small Classic Shapes with 8 player doubles, you would have to scroll up and down a lot more for each attack if we stuck more info under the players list and that would be annoying.

Make it an option from the Game Settings menu?
Game Page stats "right of the map"; "below the map"; or "off"?
I dont understand lack why you ignore this, first you need to create this option:
>Game Statistic Off<---->Game Statistic On<
then we can talk abouth other parameters,because many people want to disabled this option,and many other want to have this option. I dont need this option and i will want to disabled game statistic.
I really don't see the need for hiding the stats. Those who already have stats with BOB can hide Conquer Club's stats with the latest version of BOB. To be honest, I suspect anyone else who still wants it hidden after we improve the layout just doesn't like change and will get used to it. I think it is a bad idea to fill up the Game Settings page with options for hiding all the features that some people needed time to appreciate (there has been quite few).

What is the advantage to switching troops and regions asides from being the way BOB prints it?

Yeah I agree I like the rank where it is in the current format. Everything else is good though.
My reasoning is to show in the player list only what is immediately necessary to interpret the map, and print the rest of the details in the Statistics section. So then I figured the highest priority items you must know is:
* who is what colour
* who already played and is playing (think freestyle speed games)
* how many spoils (think escalating spoils)
Everything else like rank and region count are nice extras that you can refer to occasionally. Even though we listed ranks and ratings before this update, they could make the usernames and assassin targets wrap and look messy on 1024x768 resolution, which the website supports. So, unless there is a good reason to keep them above the fold, it is advantageous to print them below.

Because this is a poor mans quick fix...
A full redesign would be a far superior idea - instead of just a "move it here cos the masses whinge" fix...
I figured some people are voting that way. I will do a full redesign but the soonest I can get it done is in a few months. Let's settle on a quick fix I can implement this week, no?
