That's the worst drop possible on that map. Sure you're getting more troops, but they're mostly auto-deploy. Dropping in the Americas makes it much easier to take one of your opponent's homelands cleanly, on the 2nd or 3rd round.Going first is the real advantage there.

i almost guarantee that someone will drop a continent (probably africa) and go first
on classic i have played multiple games where someone has dropped aussie with a double line of protective neutrals
these are just two examples

this happens ALL THE TIME, calm down, play a few more 1v1's, you'll get a drop this good at some point too
