yes this is true, but in this situation they got screwed over by the time clitch thing, and the other team just continues to complain even though they are winning. it seems preety obvious to me that in this case they did not miss on purpose.Gamera wrote:It CAN be used for an advantage, I've had had it used against me. Let's say you've got a well fortified border, and so do the other two players, and that you're all evenly matched. Anyone of you could break through and ruin a bonus, but that would leave you wide open with very few armies for the other two players to do the same, especially the third. Miss a turn or two, especially if the other two are fighting, and people won't attack you, hoping you'll deadbeat or not wanting to deal with 13 armies that round. You smack back with an extra 4 and they don't know what hit 'em.
In short, just like cards, you can't know if they're gonna play or not. Some people can use that to their own advantage, although it's hard (Akin to Shooting the Moon in Hearts).
In this game, of course it's irrelevant. There was a time error, the other team was confused. THAT wasn't actually post-worthy. Apologies, but I saw this thread as yet another asking the age old question, framed within a specific story.DeCaptain wrote:yes this is true, but in this situation they got screwed over by the time clitch thing, and the other team just continues to complain even though they are winning.
You've actually got a good point there and I know what you mean but it is still a big risk to take...Gamera wrote:It CAN be used for an advantage, I've had had it used against me.
