i mean, at the start of the game the positioning of your armies tends to decide what continent you try to take, some people will get a better position than others and will find it easier to hold and expand from their continent.Contrickster wrote:trevor define what you mean by "positioning and skill" - how exactly does that differ from choice of territory to attack?trevor33 wrote:it doesn't really matter - dice, positioning and skill tend to decide who wins.
asia would be to hard to hold though
I agree there is more to winning than first choice of continents though!
looking at the game u better out up some defences down south. both your SA bonus and your oceania bonus can be broken by blue if he really wants to.HourofPower wrote:I just started here but in one of my first 4 games which is right below, I started with SA and proceeded to defeat my foe over in Oceania:

Got lucky with a third party intervening though, but it still seems like SA is pretty effective.
Eh, I usually expand into South Africa from South America, not through the Maghreb (which I use as a buffer).Contrickster wrote:But on the flip side it's hard to expand into Africa from South America because there are so many territories in Maghreb.for dummies wrote:in almost all the games i have played. the person getting all of south america wins or comes very close. this is because it is easy to take and defend (well not easy, but easier) and from there you can quickly take NA and expand from there
