Yes, good job. The text also looks better now, but you might want to rethink the font.

Thanks. What font do you suggest and why should it be changed?

Well, IMO, handwritten fonts usually don't look very good on maps. They work on some, but only if the font actually adds to the theme of the map. In this case, your font doesn't really reflect Argentina.

Look for better fonts in www.dafont.com

Indeed. The Falklands is not part of Argentina and should thus not be in a map named "Argentina". I don't see why CC maps should be used to make a political point, touvh upon border dispute issues etc. Doing that, well, it would just go downhill from there. Factual correct is just the way to go I think.

I know that it isnt part of Argentina, and thats why it has no bonus. It also relieves the bottle neck in Patagonia. I have thought quite a lot about it, and I think that it adds to the map instead of detracting from it.

It does help out the gameplay a lot to have it. I say keep it.

Are there any issues with it being tall and thin? Because as far as I can tell there arent any maps currently that are noticably taller than they are wide.

do not worry about it. the size isn`t what matter by now. Fauklands is what makes the gameplay totaly diferent.
What you should be worried are the grafics.
Try improving the mountain grafics.

Now, I want to propose something: Since you`re doing argentina map, and I`m doing a peru map, can we keep this line until all nations of south america are done. what do you think?

If I remember well, brazil map was already tryed.(We can revive it)

I quite like the mountains, I could give them a bit of a fill, but the general shap is fine.

I think that a lot of the countries are too small to be made into a decent map, but there could be a northern south america map. Brazil has been made, and then a successful revamp was done for Brazil 2.

Btw, save your images as PNG:s. JPG loses detail and looks fuzzy.

I like the old text... the new text with an outline is trying to do too much in too small of a space.

I think you can spell out Misiones and go over into the the non-play map.

Outof curiosity, why are the territories shades of green? The Argentine flag is sky blue and white, with a golden sun I think graphically you could try to incorporate this and it would look great. I'm a big fan of using the flags colors on the geographic landmass :P

I like that Neuquen is a choke point... I think this will make the Falklands come into play more during the game, despite not having a bonus.

The mountains need to be more clear as to what they block and don't block. For the time being, draw a big brown line as an impassable and fix it later in the graphics workshop.

I had it like that before the text had an outline and you couldnt read it against the non-play colour. I hadnt noticed that it could be changed.

I hadnt thought about it like that, i can do a quick mock up with bluey colours and see what it looks like. If it looks bad I could still have a flag somewhere.

Will do

I can have another version with new colours up by tomorrow.

  • Changed to blue colours
  • Redrew all lines that were fuzzy from resizing
  • Wrote Misiones out in full
  • Added the sun thing faded into the sea

Now we're talking... you need to clean up those borders though, use a thicker brush and throw a slight slight slight drop shadow on it. You're font doesn't work well with these colors, I'd suggest using something without an outline. I'd also like to see the rivers flow into the oceans rather than be closed in by the borders.

Change the colour of those blue bonus areas. They are too similar to the ocean, it looks like there's huge holes in the continent... ;)

For the greenish areas perhaps white and shades of light gray would work well... green really isn't doing it for me.
