I know most of the games have already started, but remember that all games must be joined by both sides by tomorrow night. I will send out a PM reminder tonight.

All gmes have been started on time for the play-in matches. Look forward to some good wars. Good luck to all of the clans involved. Everyone else, get excited for round 1 in approximately 1 month!

I have edited the first post and added it in. But after the games are sent, each clan has 4 days to join all of the games, both their home games and the away games. The time period expires at the end of the day, CST, on the 4th day.

Every clan gets a 1 day warning for delaying the tournament throughout thoughout the entire tournament. This is 1 warning only, not 1 per clan war. After that, they will forfeit 1 game per day late in that match. The game that is forfeited will be chosen by their opponents from the batch of games they are late on.

For example, if you are late sending or joining your home games by 1 day, then the opposing clan gets to choose 1 of your home games that you forfeit. If you are late in joining their home games then they get to choose 1 of their home games that you forfeit.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Approximately 508 licks if licking all sides. If sticking to 1 side then 254 licks.

That's for the laymen though. A professional "tootsie pop" licker like Chuck gets there in 2-3 licks.

I'm a 'tootsie pop' virgin... can somebody please describe (in explicit detail) the joys of wrapping your tongue around a 'tootsie pop' =P~

Do we have a start date for the first (not play-in) rounds yet?

Looked like "beginning of March" was the target, but if an actual date was specified, I didn't find it in this thread.

Yes, games will need to be sent by March 17 and then joined by March 21.

Hypothetically, what happens if one of play-in games doesn`t finish by March the 17th?

I think all matches will be decided easily in the next couple of weeks. If there is a game left and it is a "deciding game" then I will push the date back a little. I will make sure that all clans have 2 weeks preparation from the time they know they are advancing before they have to start again.

I hope, you will show a little leniency there. Like jpcloet in the league.

Games being sent on 17th might be found in an Inbox first on the 18th.

Then 2 days for sorting teams. That can be stress already, if the person in charge has some other business at the same day.

PMs sent to the clan on 20th. Some of them being found in Inboxes on the 21st.

Just saying: It is a rather tight time span. I have seen plenty of clans, who had problems joining their small league sets in such a time.

This should be a fun event. Not stress for the organisers.

Plus, I'm not sure how productive the day after St. Pat's will be for many of us. ;)

He's got a really good point here chuck. I fully understand setting a dealine, but why not give clans 5 days to send games and 5 days to join after that. My opinion.

I don't understand the request for extra days to send games. If games aren't in on time in the CLA, they go random. No one has asked for extra days there. You know the date in advance. Chuck is just looking to set and keep a date. Sending games shouldn't require extra days. If games are sent on the 17th, assume they are received on the 18th. It should take 1-2 days to get set up (that's set up by the 19th inner clan), and another day or two-we've all had those days we can't get to our inbox-for them to be joined (that's the 21st). Seems right to me.

I just re-read this, thinking I missed something. I'm not sure I understand your thought process here ahunda:

agreed

agreed, but those two days give you the 18th and 19th
PMs sent to the clan on 20th. Some of them being found in Inboxes on the 21st.
If they find them on the 21st-two days later-they still join on time

That's sad. They need more commitment or better leadership :D
This should be a fun event. Not stress for the organisers.
Agreed...but let's be reasonable. We don't need to drag this out. It's only sending 10 games at a time, then having your guys join 10 games. That's not a lot of slots to fill.

I dunno how much debate you have for clan games, but those can take a while. Notice the CLA has the game orders up to post at your leisure.
