Hi gang, Saxi here! Recently I was having a pow-wow with the Valued Mods on ways we could improve the site. They mentioned to me that they have a lot of work dealing with C&A filings. I suggested it might be a great idea to start an informal, voluntary, non-binding, Alternate Dispute Resolution Forum where two players having issues with each other can come to receive relief from their complaints. Naturally, everyone agreed with me that that would be a grand idea to host a place in one of the cyber "alleys" of CC where I could relieve other players.

This is my full-time project from here on out and this will be the only thread I post in moving forward, that is how committed I am to making this project a success so that CC can become a more inclusive, caring community. Gang, we want a community that celebrates our diversity. Let's celebrate!

Here are the rules of my ADR Forum:

1 - Post your complaint, identifying the other player, in this thread. Be as detailed as possible. Pertinent information like time / place / game number / exact quotations of text, etc. will all help me arrive at a fair and equitable decision. Don't be afraid of detail!
2 - Keep your post to 144 characters or less. Complaints in excess of that will be IGNORED. I do not have the time nor desire to deal with petty bitching and moaning.

I will issue a non-binding ruling. While my rulings are non-binding, it is advised you take them under close consideration as the Valued Mods and I are good friends.

I'm going to kick it off by making the first complaint.

#1 - Your request for adjudication is rejected as it is not formatted properly. This is Saxi's Alternate Dispute Resolution Forum, not Army of God's Alternate Dispute Resolution Forum.

#2 - The Alternate Dispute Adjudicator (Saxitoxin) finds it suspicious you are identifying Strife as an Accuser. Since he has not leveled this accusation personally he will need to state his endorsement in this forum. OR, GabonX can state Strife's endorsement. For the amount of grab ass that goes on between those two, the ADA will allow him to act as proxy for Strife.

If you reformat and resubmit your request to identify Saxitoxin as Adjudicator it will be considered.

These seem to be rather contradictory statements. The 144 character limit could prevent one form fully explaining their grievance and thus impair you from being able to adjudicate to the best of your abilities, and thus would create a less inclusive environment.

While it certainly is true that saxitoxin is a very good friend of every moderator on the Conquerclub website and we take his suggestions for improving the quality of the service and for fostering a caring and harmonious climate on the fora in which every poster can feel that they are accepted for who they are and not for who they pretend to be very seriously, this thread, albeit great in concept as well as execution, is not crystally-clearly specifically related to the gaming aspect of Conquerclub but of a more general and social nature.

As such it has, after extensive as well as intensive discussion about the matter among the moderators assisted by the esteemed Saxitoxin, been determined that this thread may better fulfill its role on the so-called Off-Topic forum until a whole new forum can be created for the purpose of resolving disputes among players in a genial, unbiased and above all personal manner that stresses the individuality of each party in every quarrel, rather than the procedural, circumstance-centered and dispassionate manner in which every controversy, great or small, is currently handled on the C&A fora.

Will this be televised on C-SPAN or the like? I know you can often hear oral arguments of the USA Supreme Court and such. I think we can all agree that it is in the world's benefit to introduce our ADA to a larger, worldwide, audience.

Having got a monther once for violating this rule I am well acquainted with it. (Though, technically I didn't violate it, I was just doing a quick cyber session with another player in game chat and, apparently, they were not a willing recipient of my amorous verbiage. And, further technically, I didn't actually get a monther, I simply requested the Valued Mods suspend my account for a month so that rank and file players wouldn't feel I wasn't getting special treatment and, of course, the Valued Mods complied with my instructions as we are all good friends.)
