Ultimately there should probably be a scoreboard for each setting when you think about it. They do this in many different sports/bar games.

Doubles
Triples
Quads
Seq
Freestyle
1v1

I am not sure of every combination, but I am sure there are way to many. The reality is there are different skill levels involved in the many different settings.

i agree that a sequential and freestyle scoreboard would be a good idea. keep the scoreboard as is and then you could click on 'see sequential standings' or 'view freestyle standings'.

I like the idea of different categories...they really are different games...i'd like to view team rankings, or freestyle rankings, etc.....would open up the rankings to many players....would also encourage players to try the different styles of games and be ranked in several categories....to be honest i think the web site has gotten stale and needs a shake up...

or if you want to keep one scoreboard, you could have a category where the player lists his particular favorite style of play...so you could then scan the scoreboard to see the various styles of play...

One of the best ideas to be mooted on CC for a while - this thread deserves a bump.

It would be a very valuable tool to have the scoreboard add a few more columns which, when clicked, would rearrange the standings according to that particular category.

Who knows....this might even discourage farming in a roundabout way.

do we want to have ONE score for ALL games, or do we want different scores for different types of games.

So, this is why the suggestion of a separate score for each, one for sequential, one for freestyle, and one for freestyle speed.

Dunno if that's feasible. Over 3 million games have been played. To implement this idea (if keeping peoples' current scores) it would be necessary to recalculate the scores from game 1.

Guess it may possibly be feasible. Handing out 1000 points to each player for each type of scoreboard letting the game engine simulate the development from game 1 to the last finished game. But then it would be necessary to take into account the changes already made into the score award rules. All in all, seems like a daunting task. Dunno if it would be done.

If you are going to have two scoreboard for Freestyle and Sequential, then you can't do one like the current Map Rank scoreboard. Since you can manipulate it way too easy by dumping points in sequental and winning more from freestyle and boosting your freestyle points.

Instead you would be forced to create two diffrent kind of points. Freestyle Points and Sequential Points. So you pretty much have two diffrent scores.

I agree with them here, it´s a big problem if we want different scores for different game types. I would like to see this option, but i doubt this will happen.
If you keep one score but create several score boards, that won´t make much sense, highest ranked seq players will be the players who lost most games in fs, because losing points in fs is much easier than winning points in seq.
You already have guys who have a +15k points record for seq, while they have -15k points in fs and a overall score of 1000. I doubt any seq player can get 15k points in seq. That´s why i would like to see different scores, not only different score boards. Having one overall score but several scoreboards doesn´t make much sense.
