A cc vets tourney anyone whos played for a certain time can join no matter what rank

While I think this is a great idea, I'm not sure if it would fall within the rules of
At least 50% of the spots available must be for open/public sign-ups, and not filled with special invitations.

It will be interesting to see what the TD's opinion of this is.

I would be willing to host such a tournament if its within the rules.

I love the idea thats why i put it up maybe within 2 years? idk someone else could figure those details out but if everyone agreed and i fell in the guidlines id love to be in

What date did you have in mind and approximately how many players would qualify?

well I think that we look at who requests to be in and decide after look at the dates theyve joined idk lol i just like the diea ive played for like 2-3 years and thought hmmmm well why not make something for the vets?

If he set a date like December 31, 2007 I think that would cover it pretty good. I don't think there CC is 50% Premium members, maybe I am wrong about that though.

I don't think that your restriction has to make it open to 50% of the CC population. Point restriction tournaments usually aren't. Even one that uses 2000 as a cut off only covers 5% of the current scoreboard. I think that the 50% open means that you can't "save" spots for more than 50% (for things like previous winners, special invites etc).

26 is even as in Jan 26, 2008.

In fact that is an equally random date as 17th of april or Dec 31.
Picking random a date all have a possibility of 1/365 to be picked

You could also take Feb 29, 2008.
The possibility to randomly take 29th of Feb is much lower compared to other dates.
That would make it a less random date
