The fact that the mafia must not have realized that CB was insane makes me believe that everyone he examined wasn't mafia. Do we have a list of who he investigated?

Dude.. not sure if you noticed, but we are the ones taking it at the moment, up every hole too!!

CBlake was killed because he was the obvious target, I think. I think if he wasn't killed, we would belynching his ass right now. The mafia took him out in my opinion to get us divided over who to lynch next.. in my opinion, in hopes to get one of the more active and useful players killed.. this is kind of why I am reluctant to lynch Mach.

I had the same thought.. well not 1, but few mafia, maybe 2 - definitely not 4. The fact that they are still strategizing means that they are not going to win anyway with tonight's kill.

If the mafia didn't realize cblake was insane, then they were clearly on crack. I suppose the possibility existed that they might have thought he was bluffing, but I don't rate it as being particularly high.

I'm not knocking cblake here. He was a new player with a really difficult role. But if you guys didn't pick up on it, if you in particular dussle (with the luxury of being able to read the whole thing at a go) didn't realize that he clearly wasn't a normal cop, then there's something rotten in the state of social lounge II.

cblake's investigation list is only a few pages back.

Good call, but for all we know Mach's just pulling our chain and we're forestalling his final judgement because he'd be valuable to us. Well what's more valuable here? Mach to the mafia, or Mach to the town? If we lose mach then tough shit; we're dead anyways. If hte mafia loses mack they may lose a bigger asset and there'd be hope for us.

I didn't know what to think about CB_Lake, but the fact he wasn't dead struck me as odd. I'd though he was lying and somehow the mafia knew it, or he was insane.

hey.. walk me through the math again, and assume worst case scenario. no tricks up mafia's sleeves, but we consistently making the wrong decision. And I don't think 3 mafia, I think 2 - and Fircoal thinks 1, which is unlikely but certainly possible.

So if we assume I am right, and we have RK, Fircoal and me, and let's assume for the sake of argument you - although you could be making this up, and this would be genius, and *I* would feel like an ass for the next 3 weeks!! but fine.. so let's assume there are 4 of us.

we vote mach (for the sake of argument) - and are wrong..
mafia kills one of us
3 of us left against 2 mafia
still majority
we lynch senfive - and we are wrong again
mafia kills one of the 3 missing.
the remaining 2 kill dussle who would be the sole mafia
and we win.

I think is very very possible.. and would be as much of a turn around as I have ever seen one. The only thing that would destroy it would be you screwing with us, or me being wrong about RK (very unlikely).

you guys up for this???

you have grasped the math quite well indeed.

you're right to at least question my motives. So here they are: the odds as I see them are considerably in favor of you being town. I've been watching you closely, and it's almost inconceivable that you could have said the things you've said (and implied) and be mafia. Everything leads from that calculation.

There are never sure things in these games, sorta like in the other moderately popular game on this site. Best-laid plans can be sabotaged by bad dice. But you gotta move when the odds are in your favor.

(just had a bad thought, tho: is it possible that RK is perhaps the sort of gentleman who would caper about in an orchard with an orange wedge in his mouth? that would totally torpedo the plan, and sounds like the sort of delicious twist that MB had in mind when he created the game: a sole mafia, but he's godfather, so he never comes up as scummy thru investigation)

Regardless, this'll work. But I'd like to hear fircoal's and RK's thoughts.

While, I'm not sure on RK, Houssam and Incan seem pro-town to me. If Houssam believes that RK is not scum, I'll argee, so that would leave Mach, dUssle, and senfive. SEnfive is the scummiest out of the 3, so I think he should be the lynch.
