maybe try watching some of the inflammatory/alarmist 'news' reporting that's been doing the rounds over the past year.

the simple reason it has been toned down (of late) is that people are bored of red arrow graphics pointing downwards, and pedantic economists explaining to us exactly why we're fucked as if it is a random, unintelligible phenomenon.
