Do you guys think their is a limit of rank i should be playing. please help.
ALARICUS: meaning "all-powerful; ruler of all." Latin name composed of the Germanic elements ala "all" and ric "power; rule," hence "all-powerful; ruler of all."
Play em all. You will have more success as a rule vs those closer to your rank. You will have some good games, learn some tricks and meet some future pards.

Play against everyone. Have fun. Don't worry about your rank.
...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.

correct. Play tourneys i love tourneys, play generals, play conquerers, if you want a win, play a cook. Take on whoever, whenever, you will get good as long as you're willing to watch your better opponents and revise your strategy when you're getting consistently beaten
Pick a map.
play all comers.
learn from the higher ranks what you can.
Start with the easy settings at first, Standard, 2 player, no spoils, unlimited.
The most important thing is to have fun, and meet new friends.
Your current score is 821. To maximise your performance only play opponents between 814 and 828 at the time the game is completed. Any deviation from this is just typical aspirational clap trap bollocks.
I would also suggest foeing anyone with the gall to play you from a score lower than 814. Frankly, they are assuming you are a flaky cadet and not worth your rank. Beat them, then foe 'em, the bastards.

If you play and win against higher ranked players, who will get more points. Lower ranked players might not be weaker than other higher-ranked players, they just might be new to Conquer Club, while super-high ranked players might be on Conquer Club for years. The ranks do not always give an accurate representation of skill, so play whoever you like.
I play whoever happens to have a game up I'd like to play, or whoever joins a game I make. It doesn't really matter to me.
If somebody is walking all over me I try to make mental notes of the things I see. If I'm winning against somebody I try to keep mental notes on what I've done. Since I play a lot of 1v1 though, there are a bunch of times when initial deployment plays a big roll. *shrug* I'm just having fun, so I don't bother with it too much, though it is nice to see your rank go up.

Just curious, where did you get those numbers from? Why is it a deviation of 7?

I don't want to release too much info (because it's not my info to release), but he said he won't be as active as he used to be.
That is most unfortunate. He will definitely be missed.

Surely. =(
Also, on topic, you should play whoever, as long as you know how to play the settings that are on the game.
There are certain maps and settings where I have no fear playing ANY rank, BECAUSE I know how to win on that particular map/setting.
I'd say, only join maps/settings you don't know against low ranks.
agreed have a look at the speed games try and learn a popular map so you are good at it. learn all the tricks to that map and the strategy from higher ranks (you will lose points doing this)but once learnt you will get them back twice fold.
Play what games you can within the limits of the game. The higher ranked opponents you face, the more you may learn, and you will lose less points, and gain more points...... Try to take the game chat with a grain of salt as many high ranked tools seek to bewilder the unsuspecting with shitty game chat.

yes also try and join a couple games with 1 player (4-5) observe there play and copy it. try and get used to playing that way. do this with different players on the same map and setting then you will be able to use a mix of the styles.
