Suggestions for improvement would be appreciated, instead of generic "I hate it."

Any official stamp should follow the thematic of the other foundry stamps 8-)
a bit like this old one

There was some brief discussion a little while back about introducing a new design brief stamp, but I wanted to work out whether the current stamping system worked properly. More correctly I wanted to ascertain whether or not the general foundry public interpreted their use in the same way as the map stampers...

I've also been wary about introducing an "Accepted" stamp, on the premise that it may also warrant a "Rejected" stamp... What do people think about the possibility of marking ideas/design briefs as "Rejected" or something similar?

I don't see much point in it. People already know it's rejected by it not moving from the pot.

lol, does Benn's post mean that stamp was made unofficially?

And a rejected stamp is a bad idea. It'd be demoralizing and, like natty said, you already know you've been rejected by virtue of not advancing.

Yes, that too. Currently, if your design brief doesn't pass, it encourages you to go back to work and figure out what's wrong with your design concept, then submit it again. If we had "rejected" stamps, it would be like a blow to the mapmaker's face: "this is crap, you shouldn't waste your time on this any further" and perhaps projects that could have become something great will be abandoned...

I like the current system actually, the design brief approved -stamp is good idea, it's like an encouragement to the mapmaker to keep working on his project. A "rejected" stamp would have the opposite effect, obviously.
