Good choice. True musical pioneers, especially as they went from being a Bristol mainstay of the UK hip-hop underground to basically creating the whole genre of trip-hop. Not too many other bands can be credited with being the root of two incredably influential scenesmax is gr8 wrote:If it was on i'ld go with massive attack

They should also be shot twice-over for being the root of two incredibly tarded scenes. ¬_¬Guiscard wrote:Good choice. They're just really not my cup of tea. Punk, rock, punk rock, hard rock, soft rock, glam rock, indie, grunge, britpop, even a bit of psychedelic, all fine. Hip-hop, trip-hop, rap, dance, electro (and many more)... *vomits*Guiscard wrote:Or... not...
In what sense are either of those two scenes 'tarded', especially UK hip-hop (which I'll rep till I die, I'm afriad)
It doesn't but I can say it better...millej11 wrote:Almost as good, just a little bit better thoughlVlaniac wrote:Muse is good almost as good as system of a down...
if that makes any sense at all
Thats fine, doesn't make them 'tarded' though... I'm not a huge fan of metal but I can recognise its good points. UK Hip-Hop is the true successor to punk in Britain today. Its the music of the people, and if you get in below the radio-friendly westwood bollocks much of it is truely political, inspired, intellegent, witty and it makes you move. The only genre of music present in Britain today which still holds true the tradition of protest music (except perhaps some modern folk).johnnyrotten wrote:They're just really not my cup of tea.
