It started going downhill when MandyB had a falling out with the admin. After she left Dancing Mustard tried holding it together along with Heavy Cola and Mandalorian - unfortunately none of them can hold a candle to MandyB. The assprowler showed up and started spamming the f*ck outa the forum and that was pretty much it - kinda like the Flame Forum here.

Right before it closed down most of us made a field trip to troll cosmicoutpost.com and our spending all our time there ended up pretty much being the straw that broke the camel's back.

And then I came back online after a brief absence, & I showed up there a few times, and was all like OMG U GUYS WTF? THIS PLACE IS DEAD!

It does suck that it closed shop though. We've lost everyone.

I think the problem was that it was a closed community composed exclusively of flamers and otherwise funny people. A website like that needs ignorant newcomers who serve as the "flame bait". Those are the flamers' life blood, they can't survive otherwise.

Actually someone named Caskur made everyone uncomfortable. Everyone that isn't bk either ignored prowler or didn't mind him.

John9blue has a good point, it did lack newb traffic. It would probably still be on but I think HC decided he wasn't going to pay the hosting company for a site where Caskur and the spambots were the main charactors.

Evidently you missed the whole poll episode. I made a poll challenging the assprowler - either he'd leave or i would based on the poll "who should leave POA - b.k. barunt or the assprowler?".

The assprowler swamped the poll with multis after he saw that i was winning. I knew he did it but i'd already given my word - i never posted on the open forum there after that. Chaosfactor got pissed and did an open poll where members openly gave their vote. Everyone there except for that kid jeffhardy or somesuch told the assprowler to get the f*ck out. Didn't do any good but everyone went to cosmicoutpost at that point anyhow and POA died.

It didn't work either, though, but I'm kind of glad because now Woodruff and I are good friends and are even planning a road-trip together to Sasquatch this summer (who would have guessed we're both New Pornographers fans?).
