Unfair advantage to team that has a member kicked out...

I was in a doubles game recently (6960741) where one of my opponents (yellow) got kicked out for violating CC rules.

But rather than hurt Blue, it helped him. Which seems perverse and bizarre to me....your teammate breaks the rules, and yet now you stand a GREATER chance of winning the game?

Here's what happened: when yellow got kicked, his territories didn't become n3s or n1s....they became the property of Blue.

Instead of 11 territories, Blue now controls 22. Which is not a bonus of 3, but a bonus of 7, and very close to a bonus of 8.

Suffice it to say, my teammate and I got rolled...big time. Blue was able to use his big bonus each round to cut us to pieces and we were never able to build any mass (which he had in spades).

I guess the argument would be..."Well, Blue didn't do anything wrong. Why should he suffer?"

My take is that Blue made the mistake of partnering with a player that was breaking the rules. He shouldn't be rewarded for that.

Do you think the rules are fair as they are (a kicked out player's territories become the property of his teammate)?

Or do you think it would be fairer to turn those territories neutral?

I started a Quads game a while back, and logged off for the night, i log on the next day, the game has started already. Turn 2, all 3 of my partners are kicked out. Sure it helps me, but could i foresee all of them getting kicked out? No. It wasn't my mistake.

In an escalating game, if you get later into the game, it actually REALLY hurts him if his partner is kicked, sure he gets more regions, but per every cash he gets, you get 2. So say he cashes in for 30 troops. Well, you got a cash in at 20, 25, 35, 40. How would that put it in his advantage?

Not to mention that if it is 2v1 you effectively get 6 troops for every 7 he was getting, which isn't that unfair. Same with a quads game. You may get a huge bonus, but they have 4 people taking a turn every time you get your 1. In most situations a player getting kicked hurts the team, not helps.

In an escalating game, if you get later into the game, it actually REALLY hurts him if his partner is kicked, sure he gets more regions, but per every cash he gets, you get 2. So say he cashes in for 30 troops. Well, you got a cash in at 20, 25, 35, 40. How would that put it in his advantage?

Unless, of course, his teammate gets kicked with 4 or 5 cards, while that player has 4 or 5 cards... Transferring terits is one thing, but the fact that the teammate of a booted player (whether they were booted for rules violations or deadbeating) gets their cards as well is retarded.

True Incan, Depends how many cards he has. I think someone should put up a poll and run it for a while, unless it has already been done. See what people think, A) Partner gets nothing. B) Partner gets Territories. C. Partner gets Cards. D. Partner gets both.

once you have 22 terries, it is pretty easy to grab and hold two more terries to get to 24. Or maybe 5 more to get to 27. Sorry...I'm just making the point that once you have a huge number of terries the odds really tip in your favor....

So one "account" gets kicked out.

But the other one is allowed to stay. huh???

Not every single case of a partner getting kicked out means that both of them were in it together.

A lot of players join random Team games. You got that 1 in 10 case where both of them are multi accounts.

I don't know why both weren't booted from the game, i never got a look at the accounts. Maybe 1 was Prem and the other wasn't. Under the current policy, if a Premium is busted, they are stripped of Of it, but remain in their games. If a freemium is busted, they get kicked out. If you don't like the policy, take it up with either an Admin, or the Multihunters

TFO. The game bruin is talking about he and I were pards.

Our opponents were busted together as multi. Both were premium. Both got stripped and one got guested/kicked. CC procedure was followed.

It happened to be on poly wars just a couple rounds in and the offending players turn when it all went down.

In this case we got screwed.

He is only asking/making a valid question/point.

option E)Partner get's control of his partner.That means he plays twice (in this case as yellow & blue)so they don't get the territories mixed...there was this sug, but i can't find it...

I skimmed most of the thread so I missed the post where you first said that.

I'd say that the problem is that a busted multi didn't kicked out of his games, not that the team game rules are unfair. If he both players had been kicked out kicked out like multies are supposed to be, there would be no problem.
