Also, Dako, thanks for spamming my inbox. I guess having a forum with Suggestions clearly labeled isn't enough of a draw for people to know to go here to discuss suggestions to the site. You have to shove it in our faces too.

And why it can't just remain as is and people can just post how they voted makes the entire prospect very Boss Tweed-ish.

How about focusing on the current to-do list instead of making this site even more of a bad dystopian movie.

I think this feature can have definite benefits and drawbacks. As long as it it optional and as long as prospective voters are informed up front that their vote will be shared with all, then I think this is a good feature to add.

Make sure the "public" option can only be set from the onset of the poll. This way someone cannot set up an anonymous poll and then expose the voters by making it public after the poll is concluded.

So far we have:

This option is good
This should be an option (we keep private polls as default implementation)
Would be good if the poll cannot be altered to public after it was created as private (or we will need to dump all votes)
Would be if people can choose to vote anonymously in public votes (thou I don't like this idea)

Any more comments?

sorry guys I'm not good at forums and when I finally enjoyed a quiet forum, it was locked for some reason....

anyway I got a suggestion for this site and if anyone feels it's worth, please feel free to take it to the proper place...

I suggest you make this site MULTI-LINGUAL as english is not spoken by all people... I'm sure that many people in my region (Middle East specifically Saudi Arabia) will enjoy this site if you provide an Arabic version...

this site can make millions $$$$ with some promotion..

I knew people who spent thousands of $$$$$ to buy points in a strategy game named Travian....

I can help you translation before I quit and it will be FREE OF CHARGE to support this cool site....

The poll will have a long list of names. It is quite ok because the main target of the enhancement are clans and private groups.

But even if there are 200 votes there - it still will be readable and easy to distinguish. At least it was with 50 people or me.

Public Poll Option for the Community Polls

Currently all Polls are Private on this Site, This would just be the option added to change that so you can see who voted for what. phpBB does offer the public poll option as simple upgrade for the boards that run it.

It will be yet another community Tool and provide the ability for the community to see how some one chooses to vote when they know others will be able to see.
