(a fact, over which, they seem stunningly oblivious)
Interesting.

Any apologies forth coming from you for those you champion?
Who does ol' Saxi "champion" (other than Sasparilla's sons little league team!)?
Most every Communist regime that had ever existed. Most every Democratic socialist regime that ever existed.

But I spose they have nothing to apologize for.

Unfortunately, I don't speak for them anymore than Johnny Rockets could be expected to speak for every white, Protestant nation that has ever existed. Sorry I couldn't help, JJ! :P

Not mine. In my country the people are protesting to make the government cut spending not vice versa.
And how's that working out for ya?
Not to well, the mainstream media is against us. But the tea is wonderful. ;)

(Now if you don't mind, I'm going to protest on an international scale with some "Tower of London Blend.") :ugeek:

And yet you ask JR to apologize for supposed actions of his ancestors and predecessors.

I understand.

Thank you for your valuable time and lucid replies saxi!

Have a nice day!

If he's going to trumpet them, he needs to defend them.

Besides, the great crimes of Canada and the Canadian people continue to this very day. It is why they are universally despised as a nation by all freedom-loving people in the world. They are a completely friendless gaggle of sycophants licking greedily off the teat of the United States.

Really oh trumpeter of the great DPRK? I thought all he needed to do was to make bold faced lies and insult the opposition. That's what you do, after all. ;)

This is why I like Americans.

Johnny Rockets is one of the most hate-filled, foaming-at-the-mouth, anti-Americans on these boards but - if you question the efficacy of capitalism - Americans will jump into bed and start making out with him like it's the end of the world! :P

Conversely, ol' Saxi - relative to most Marxist-Leninist's (and virtually all Europeans) - is extremely restrained, and almost deferential, in the way he discusses the United States but people are lining up to gang-bang him the minute he suggests pig-capitalism is, perhaps, not the best thing. :P

Is the vaunted "patriotism" of Americans really patriotism toward a country or patriotism to an economic theory? For some on CC it appears the latter.

LMAO!!!!!!

I despise Canadians almost as much as the next guy. LOL.

But you call for an apology from him and those he trumpets and yet not willingly apologize for those who's horn you blow.

SAD day when you get owned by jefjef!

Sorry saxi!

First of all, I believe JR is from Canada. Last time I checked that nation is still in North America.

Second I am not jumping in bed with him. (He doesn't tickle like you do.)

Third, I don't think Candaians know real capitalism.

Fourth, they have foul mouths and floppy heads (I learned that from South Park).

Fifth, of Beethoven, but I prefer Dewers or Johnny Walker.

That's surprises ol' Sax as they've been waving their chubby little arms as fast as they can bat them to fly away to Europe for 2 decades now. :P

How much will the next bailout be??

Side note: unrelated: CONSPIRACY ALERT!!

Anyone notice, there has been an orderly sequence of 750 billion-ish dollar injections into the "system"...

Tarp
Stimulus
Healthcare
Greece
amongst others....

People that truly understand exotic derivatives, credit swaps, and credit backed mortgage securities might be able to add something to this, along the lines of the magic number. 1,140,000,000,000,000, otherwise known as the 1.14 quadrillion dollar queston

Off-topic: why is it that Americans are such ingrates towards the French? Historically they've done a whole lot to support you guys, but as soon as the USA thought they were a bigger world power, they started trying to belittle the French at every opportunity.

I recommend visiting Versailles, specifically the Hall of Battles, to anyone who would like to see over 1100 years of France "surrendering".
You certainly don't recall the xyz affair.
We've got long memories.
Because yea...that was like...over 200 years ago...

I don't know what's wrong with the Americans when it comes to the French. I actually root for France in soccer and the Olympics, though I have very, very little French blood in me.
it's not that difficult to understand
as we moved (well remained) a republic (quickly losing that) they pushed ever so quickly to a socialized g'vmnt ...these two things are like oil and water.
Plus they're awfully pretentious.
My wife actually loves them so it's not all Americans, just ones like me who think they're, well cigarettes.
