First of all, I believe JR is from Canada. Last time I checked that nation is still in North America.

Off-topic: why is it that Americans are such ingrates towards the French? Historically they've done a whole lot to support you guys, but as soon as the USA thought they were a bigger world power, they started trying to belittle the French at every opportunity.

I recommend visiting Versailles, specifically the Hall of Battles, to anyone who would like to see over 1100 years of France "surrendering".

I don't know what's wrong with the Americans when it comes to the French. I actually root for France in soccer and the Olympics, though I have very, very little French blood in me.

as we moved (well remained) a republic (quickly losing that) they pushed ever so quickly to a socialized g'vmnt ...these two things are like oil and water.
