Looking for a clan

Post by iamkoolerthanu »

I know that clan members are picked more often if they post in clan threads. But I am very unsure of which clan to join...there are so many! :D

Here are some things you may want to know about me:
Positive things:
  • I am very active on the forums. I go on every day, usually twice, sometimes more, for a combined time of about 2-3 hours per day. Of course, some of that time is spent playing games, and about 1 hour of it is spent organizing my tourneys, but the rest of the times is spent cruising the forums.
  • I am a good communicator in doubles games. I recently started playing doubles games with regular partners, as well as a few random players, and although I am still learning the doubles process, I am doing much better then when I started.
  • I can play on any simple-medium difficulty map. I am ready to learn new maps and new styles of playing, I just need someone to help teach me ;)
Negative things:
  • My point count is sort of low right now. It is usually at approximately 1800, but recently I have had a losing streak against lower ranks, and it has brought my score down.
  • I am not good at higher complexity maps, I stick to simple maps, or I lose. Though, as I stated above, I am a good learner and will accept advice from other players.
If anyone wants to ask me any questions, or invite me into their clan, that would be great! :)
Thank you for spending the time to review me, and hopefully accept me into your clan :)

It's great you're getting into this kooler, it's a lot of fun. My clan is the Grim Reapers, we're just about to post a new recruiting thread tonight (either me or shoop76 will post it). We are looking to restock our line-up with plenty of active players, something that I know you will qualify for :)

We're trying to hammer down the details for what we will require for a tryout, but I will make sure you get one if you want it. You have a doubles medal, are usually an officer, and as you said are very active, that's definitely a big enough resume for me :D

Also, we are becoming a more active clan. As I said, we are looking for more active members, and the goal of this is for everyone to participate in team tournaments, practice games for the clan, posting in the clan forum, and even helping to run some of our clan activities. What we don't want (and won't allow from now on) is someone who is just going to show up for Clan Wars, and not do anything else for us.

There are a lot of great clans out there, so certainly look around, but it would be great if you would consider us as well :)

I will definitely consider your clan! :D I am definitely going to be an active poster in any of the clans I end up joining, and will have no problem running or participating in any clan activities ;) My active tourny count has been going down, maybe a clan will take the place of a few tournys? :P (I don't mean I will stop running tourneys altogether, just lower the active tourny count a bit ;))

I have already been invited to a game involving some FOED members, they are not sure if they need me, but they are showing me quads, as well as teaching me the supermax: prison riot map.

jrh, I have a question for you. If I do end up joining your clan, am I allowed to join another clan as well? That is, does your clan allow you to be in more than one clan at a time? I'm not saying that I will be, but I am curious ;)

Thanks for the input so far, does anyone else have anything to say or ask to me? :)

You can join only 1 competitive clan. Or you will not be able to take games in official challenges and leagues.

Ya, that's a sitewide rule. You can be in as many usergroups as you want, but only 1 competitive clan

Oh really! I was probably thinking of social clans, where you can be in more then one...

Thats gonna make my decision even harder!! :( How do people choose just one? They all look so promising! :?

I was thinking about making one, but I would rather join one and learn how everything is done, and then maybe much later on, if that clan ever dies out, I would make my own, after learning the ropes a bit ;)

I was in a dead end clan when I joined, that lasted about a month. Decided I didn't want to join another that was going to die off and created one. We've done pretty well so far I think. We are currently looking for active members who can contribute to the whole of us. Nonetheless, good luck in your search.
