1) mayby you can change the font to anather font? this font looks a bit "normal"
2)the picture in the sout of your map looks pixely mayby you can blur that a bit
I'm glad you added colour, it does look a lot better now.
by Hil, do you mean Hill, or is it actually Hil?
same with airfild, i think it's meant to be air field, or are you just trying to abreviate?
Fonts need cleaning up a bit, they aren't all uniform, I think, apart from airfields, font should be the same, (some are stretched, it's pretty easy to fix)
Triangles are good, maybe you should just call them "Line/barrier of impassable defense" ?
one last thing, the pair of compasses and ruler needs cleaning up, the edges are a bit rough. one last last thing, the beach white 1 and the beach Red 2, looks like they can attack both points on land, i think those lines nees moving slighty.
Overall it's good, you've proved me wrong with how it looks, i'm still debating whether I'd play it, but it looks nice...

i think you should ignore wisse request to change the font because it looks normal.....Because it looks great how it is and gives it authencity....I have many army maps and they all have the same normal looking fonts....The only thing i dont like are that you made a impassable in lands end!!!!
Wisse reply

if you like the font you must keep it, it isn't a big sweat for me (and if you thought i emant the color, i didn't the color looks perfect to me
i would defenitely play this, even if it would be quenched already (but i think you have a long way to go)
anyone else find the compass and ruler and space at the bottom of the map unnecessary? It doesn't contribute to play, and requires additional scrolling. It's a square map and will never fit on one screen, but if some of that space was cropped a small version might.

Yeah actually, i think campasses should go, but the space goes with the military map idea, it doesn't really take up too many pixels, but qwert you need to post a smaller version.

i think the compass should stay...it looks vey authentic....THis map lloks like a real battle map...Not so sure about the compass at the bottom...Maybe it could be smaller or blened in just a little?
i dont like the ruler etc at the bottom of the map...
also, the two flags (us/japan)...If you want to make them look like they are apart of the map, you should fade them a bit to match, they look to clean.
I liked the map as it was, with the compass, ruler and chronometer. Please bring that back! It had a great authentic feel and kind of reminded me of the war maps that you got in games like Call of Duty. In fact I must admit I was impressed by the looks of the map thanks to these small touches.
Excellent job Qwert. I like the way you have shaped this map even if I wasn't too keen on the theme at the beginning...just don't abandon the Eastern Front map because I want to play that one as well!
How you gues Ruben, these been my atempt to create like in Call of Duty, to put object on map, but people dont want to see crhronometer in map, well some people, maybe i can put in vote.

I have an idea. Make the chronometer smaller than the original. I think that would work. It really gives the map an authentic feel coupled with the compass and ruler...
I think you could do a pretty large size reduction. It still could all be technically 'size accurate'...who knows how physically large the map would be?
