Mexican-American War Map?

Aside from a Sci-Fi Mars or other Sci-Fi Space maps, the other idea that I might like to see is a map of the Mexican-American War. It has some interesting geography I think.

Right, interesting geography, lots of notable battles spread out across the map...and a nice area of 'disputed territory.'

I certainly don't have the skills, but hope someone does someday!

were in US-Mexico war any naval battles?
was California part of USA or was there Independent republic?
some famous battles?

nice maps, which I also have, btw . but link with Timeline is realy great. I will see how Baltic Crusades and Reconquista will continue and than I can look what I can do with my poor graphics skills with this idea.
