17. Can I let another player take a turn for me when I am away from the game?
You can, with the stipulation that the account babysitter is not your opponent in any current game. It is common courtesy to announce in game chat that another player will take your turn(s) during your absence. Babysitters should only do what is necessary to take the turn(s) and should not interact with the community, start or join new games (except for ongoing tournaments). Furthermore, you should only take another player's turn if they are in danger of missing a turn, not for the purpose of gaining a tactical advantage.
I don't even understand your negativity towards account sitting. I do a lot of sitting and it is a challenge to step into an ongoing game not knowing exactly what the plan is etc... If it's a fog game then the sitter really doesn't know exactly whats going on. me and other sitters try to just play a maintenance game so the account holder can finish it. Also other peeps in the game doesn't have to wait 24 hours + 24 hours + 24 hours... As one who plays for FREE I'm sure you can appreciate that.Harijan wrote:Meh. again, gay. If you can't play the game, you should miss your turn. Just another notch in the care-bearification that has become CC.

Sometimes in games with Spoils, getting a spoil at the extreme cost of your troops isn't worth it. So sometimes forgo getting a spoil, if it means you keep yourself at roughly the same strength you started your turn with. That can be a good rule to play by. Always try to end your turns at roughly the same strength (or better) than your last turn. Try not to dig yourself into any holes.NOBODYIMPORTANT wrote:I side on the BULLSHIT side. I am very new. I don't believe the game is fair to all. I have tried the tips, I have played conservative AND suicidal as well as attack and auto attack and can only pull a 20% win rate. It's proven that a coin flipped "X" times won't always be 50/50, but is usually close. Babysitters? Do they pay the memership for them too? When I attack and attack and lose all my men just to get one spoil, it's very disheartening
This is really only useful in flat rate multiplayer games and stale escalating games, AndyAndyDufresne wrote:Sometimes in games with Spoils, getting a spoil at the extreme cost of your troops isn't worth it. 4v2 is fine, and you'll want to go for it almost every time you have the opportunity to in 1v1s and team games. 3v1 is trickier; definitely try it if you need to break a bonus or eliminate a player, but it is also useful in knocking an enemy down in territory count, if that affects their deployment. I think 2v1s should really only break bonuses and eliminate players, though there may be certain situations I am not thinking of where it would be useful. All of this applies mainly to 1v1s and team, of course. And, since NOBODYIMPORTANT plays a lot of 1v1s, I guess some of that could help him.AndyDufresne wrote:And make sure that you are keep away from assaults that don't have a lot of upside, like 4vs2, 3vs1, 2vs1, etc.
Hey, nothing wrong with cooks, he could just be new ... or hasn't played much. Then again he does seem to be a massive moron, so I will give you that oneCommander62890 wrote: As for NOBODYIMPORTANT's post... I'll let someone else handle it. I don't talk to cooks.
It's allowed, but I don't like it either. I guess I can live with it as long as the person tells me and isn't playing as another person in the same game.Harijan wrote:I was always under the impression that at CC we are not supposed to share account information, or log in to other players accounts with or without their permission. It appears now that it has become acceptable for friends to share account information and cover for one another when a player goes out of town, or otherwise cannot make their turns.
I personally think this is bullshit.
I hate clans. I think they are for total pussies who can't win games on their own.
So now because someone is stupid enough to blatantly share their account info, a player in one of my games gets to go on vacation without worrying about his CC games.
Now, what happens if the player who is substituting is much more skilled than the original player?
I didn't sign up for a game against an entire clan, I just want to play the person who started the game. This bait-n-switch crap is pretty fucking gay.
Irregardless of my personal opinions though, is it against the rules to log in a buddies account and play their turns when they can't?
