I think this would be a very good project for someone, its an important and interesting empire which a lot of people know little about and its a good shape and size to provide good gameplay (especially if rival nations on its boarders were added.) Its also in a region which is a little off-centre of what usually gets covered.

The third Crusade touches on it. But in general, I think CC is seriously lacking in Islamic maps.
