16 players will be divided randomly into two tribes consisting of 8 members. Not all members of the tribe will compete each round as there will be times when your team has more members than the opponent tribe.
Rounds of the tournament will consist of a REWARD CHALLENGE and an IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Captains
Each tribe is required to choose a leader (captain) that will have the final decision on map choice for the immunity challenge as well as for decisions on who to sit in challenges should their be an uneven # players in a tribe. In the event that a captain is voted off the island, the tribe will then decide on a replacement captain. UPDATE: - Captains will be designated as the highest ranked player on each tribe based on points at the time of designation.
Reward Challenge
This will be a game(s) on a random map with auto placement, freestyle, adjacent, flat rate and no fog. In the beginning, there will be two games that will generally be quad and triples style. Should the teams split the games, teams matchup will be waged with the qualifying members being the best ranked from the tribe at the time the tournament started. Reward for the winning tribe is the right to pick the map and settings for the immunity challenge battle.
Immunity Challenge
This will be run the same as the Reward with the only difference being that CC did not choose the map and that the losing tribe will vote someone from their tribe out via an open vote in the thread. Failure to vote in the tribal council will result in a vote against yourself. Members of the losing tribe will have 48 hours to submit their vote (please try to be faster than that). In the event of a tie, there will be a doubles match on the classic map with the same settings as the reward challenge.
Merge
After 8 tribe members (regardless of tribe) have been eliminated, there will be a merge with the remaining games being individual reward / immunity.
The Final Three
When we're down to three survivors left, they will each compete in a three match battle that consists of one game on a map of each person's choice with settings of their choice. The five members that were voted out of the top 8 will serve as the jury and will make the final decision based on the info from those last three games and a statement from each of the finalists about why they should be the sole survivor.
