Well, weight is a very important factor in everything in life, and hardly just a matter of appearance, even if that is the only concern.natty_dread wrote:Staying at captain is easy. Staying at major is what is really difficult...
Of course, if you ask someone who is a major most of the time, he will say that staying at major is easy, and staying at colonel is what is difficult...
And if you ask someone who stays as a colonel... well, you get the picture.
The fact is, that both goals are meaningless and serve only to stroke your ego. Rank at an online game? Outside appearance? It is all ash in the wind. Learn to know yourself. Meditate. Read a good book. Do something to make another person happy. Now that is a worthwhile goal.
Quite true. I guess if I devoted myself completely to either task I would succeed. But I like playing a variety of maps on a variety of settings against a variety of people. And though I work out 3 times a week and eat balanced meals, I could amp it up I guess. But I like the variety that comes from not following a super strict diet or exercise routine. And darn it, sometimes, after hours of taking care of a baby, it's nice to put my feet up and play cc while she naps!AAFitz wrote: Well, weight is a very important factor in everything in life, and hardly just a matter of appearance, even if that is the only concern.
As far as rank, it really is as much a decision as anything else. It is most certainly decided more by game choice, than by gaming ability, though ability helps, in both aspects, even knowing which games to choose.
If you choose the right ones though, nearly all the ranks are easy enough through brig...and no doubt some would say even beyond that, but I myself cannot.

Staying at brig is easy, in my opinion, just through game choice. So I would say captain can happen first just by simply limiting your game choices to ones that have a better expected value and a higher win %.natty_dread wrote:Staying at captain is easy. Aside to natty, I do have other goals in life- I read, I volunteer, I recycle, I travel - these are just two particular things that I'd like to accomplish.
Thanks, I do. and I'm grateful every day for it.AAFitz wrote:

In my case I've found that is easier to stay as a major then as a captainnatty_dread wrote:Staying at captain is easy. Staying at major is what is really difficult...

So? It's important to stroke your ego, that can make you feel better, and if you feel better you can do more things as the things you said like making something to make another person happy or volunteer. The problem is if you only fill up with your own ego.And people who volunteers in order to feel better is also a way to stroke your ego.Volunteer means more when you do and don't feel better(neither worse) you just do it for the sake of who you are helping.natty_dread wrote:The fact is, that both goals are meaningless and serve only to stroke your ego.
