Poll: Rank or weight, which will happen first?

For the last few months 2 achingly close goals have eluded me. Despite dedicated efforts, I have been unable to retain the rank of captain for more than a few hours and I have been unsuccessful in losing the last five pounds of baby weight after giving birth to my daughter.

Both are matters of pride, of dignity, and of appearance. So which, my fellow community members, do you think I will be able to achieve first? The rank or the weight?

Weight. You probably aren't on CC more than say 30min-1hour per day anyways...(And if you are, that might be the barrier to weight loss) and you should have plenty of time to exercise and eat right.

To achieve either goal, you'll either have to give up CC, or play it waaaaay more

Of course, if you ask someone who is a major most of the time, he will say that staying at major is easy, and staying at colonel is what is difficult...

And if you ask someone who stays as a colonel... well, you get the picture.

The fact is, that both goals are meaningless and serve only to stroke your ego. Rank at an online game? Outside appearance? It is all ash in the wind. Learn to know yourself. Meditate. Read a good book. Do something to make another person happy. Now that is a worthwhile goal.

A bit of the same here, I made colonel but only stayed there for a few hours, some striper whipped me 2 times... 60 points gone

Quite true. I guess if I devoted myself completely to either task I would succeed. But I like playing a variety of maps on a variety of settings against a variety of people. And though I work out 3 times a week and eat balanced meals, I could amp it up I guess. But I like the variety that comes from not following a super strict diet or exercise routine. And darn it, sometimes, after hours of taking care of a baby, it's nice to put my feet up and play cc while she naps!

Aside to natty, I do have other goals in life- I read, I volunteer, I recycle, I travel - these are just two particular things that I'd like to accomplish.

Staying at brig is easy, in my opinion, just through game choice. So I would say captain can happen first just by simply limiting your game choices to ones that have a better expected value and a higher win %.

In contrast to the quote, weight is not meaningless. It typically goes along with your lifestyle and general health as well as a feeling of well being after working out. I would recommend you do both! Play smarter and work harder!

In my case I've found that is easier to stay as a major then as a captain

So? It's important to stroke your ego,that can make you feel better,and if you feel better you can do more things as the things you said like making something to make another person happy or volunteer.The problem is if you only fill up with your own ego.And people who volunteers in order to feel better is also a way to stroke your ego.Volunteer means more when you do and don't feel better(neither worse) you just do it for the sake of who you are helping.

Yeah, fun is the variety,not only in CC but in real life.There's no only 1 answer to a question...I love a lot of time do different thing in similar situations,even tough I know wich one seems the best/right one

I voted the second, my wife eats dark chocolate velvet ice cream in an attempt to lose the baby fat and if you are doing more than that I figured itd be first. Totally controlled game choices can help, team games will help with good teammates.
