I will need 10 to 15 players. This is a village based game of Mafia. There are only a few special roles, but it should be fun none-the-less.
ROLES
Seer-can investigate one player per turn for allignment
Hunter-when killed, can take someone with him/her
Witch-can choose to do three actions: use Potion of Death(kills someone), Potion of Life(brings someone back from the dead), investigate one player for allignment; potions can only be used once per game
Sheriff-elected position; gets two votes when lynching
2 Werewolves-can kill in the night; all must come to a consensus
the rest are Townspeople-regular players; no special powers
1. This game is moderated by me (jrl332005), If I make a mistake I’ll do my best to fix it, but feel free to PM me and let me know. Please don’t play the mod, it won’t work out well for you!
2. Do not quote any PMs you receive from Me. I assure you they are all slightly different, so even having people discuss your win condition, how many words are in your role PM, or any other kind of way to get around not quoting PM’s is REALLY a bad idea in this game.
3. If you forget your role, or you delete it, that is your own fault. I suggest not doing either. I’ll try my best, but I’m human. If you think there was a mistake, PM and let me know. I’ll fix it.
4. All votes must be Bold, otherwise they will not be counted. All unvotes must also be in bold. If you do not unvote before you re-vote than your re-vote will not be counted!
5. Lynching requires a majority of the vote. If the deadline for the day is reached without a majority than there will be no lynch for that day.
6. Once your death scene has been posted, you are dead. You can no longer post anything revealing or of substance. Whining is alright, **Voices from beyond the grave** are alright, as long as nothing of substance is revealed.
7. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you may do so(You’ll know if it’s okay).
8. Do not edit/delete previous posts. Whatever you say goes into historical record.
9. Day scenes I write will be informational and somewhat helpful(To the right people).
10. Joking in the thread is fine, but don’t let it get carried away and take over as spam.
11. Be attentive and active in the game. If I see you are not posting at all, I will prod all those who are inactive. If there is no timely response, you will be replaced.
12. There is no deadline for the days unless things slow down. If that happens, I will impose one.
13. Each game ‘night’ will not last more than three 24 hour days. If I get all night choices fairly quickly, then night will end early. However, if at the end of the third 24 hour day I have not received your night choice, you will have lost your choice action (I.E. for mafia, there would be a ‘no kill’, etc). That means all werewolves must make a consensus and inform me of their decisions.
14. If you have any questions about whether you should or shouldn’t do something, or just need some clarification, feel free to PM me.
15. I would prefer not to have to find replacements, but stuff happens, I realize that. If you could PM me and let me know that you can no longer participate instead of just leaving, that would be great. It’s more enjoyable for the rest of us when everyone plays, so I’ll try to find someone to fill your place.
EDIT: because this is moving very slowly I am starting the game now with fewer people than wanted. Because of this I am getting rid of the cupid position. Roles will be sent out within the next two to three days.
