I think yes, favor high rank. but, if you (adam666) want my suggestion, then my suggestion is- if low ranked player beat higher ranked, then he steal also rank from him. for example, if 18th ranked win vs 3rd ranked, then that team become 3rd ranked and has home advantage if plays vs 4th or lower rank.
