This is the part where I break my usual silence and say something profound...
Well, I don't really have any words. I joined the clan because I had found within it a bunch of kindred spirits. I am an Outlaw (I would consider myself a Highwayman, actually

) at heart. In the clan, I discovered a number of people who stood on the fringes, much like myself. This is still true today, except now, the all that are left are the people on the fringes of the fringe.
There's no cohesion anymore. My hat is off to safari, though, he certainly tried. Our choice to elect him leader was a good one, and he did his best to keep it together in a time of great sorrow for many of us, myself included.

There's a mouthful right there. He was the reason that I didn't split with the split. But at the same time, most of the people that I did talk to (when I talked at all) did split with the split. And some split afterword.
To be honest, I really did see this coming. I was in a clan once before, that lost it's oomph. It's leader became dissatisfied with the lack of order and stepped down. I assumed the role, and tried to get things going (admittedly not having a clue what I was doing) and it sunk. I started to feel the same as then a few weeks ago, when Rocketry left us.
For the record, I will not be actively searching for a new home. That said, though, I won't dismiss an invitation.
To all Outlaws & Highwaymen, past and present: One last round at the campfire from me, (being careful, of course to stay out of L M S's Special reserve.)
** When the bottle is done, and we've all had our laughs at "Fenrir and LMS's Secret Strategies", congratulated ourselves and each other from the "Hall of Braggarts," and of course "Whiskey Around the Campfire," saraith sits alone staring at the fire, the gathering place for all Outlaws and Highwaymen. Fighting back tears of regret and fond remembrance, he takes up the water bucket and douses the fire, and then all is dark. **
