Raskholnikov, no offense but now you're just being a huge dick.Raskholnikov wrote:Can I see that guideline written down somewhere please? Why exactly are we being harassed on this? Do you really have to impose such rigid procedural uniformity for no reason at all and deny people the right to actually communicate as they wish? Just why are we simply not allowed to have some fun without being attacked all the time? Are you people really incapable of leaving us be??? Until I can see it written in black and white, in the Foundry gudielines, that cartographers are prohibited from using their own map thread for communication and development purrposes other than posting a fully finished draft (which must be defined as to what it should include to be considered finished) I will use this thread as I wish whilst remaining within the Foundry written guidelines - and ignore all those who have made it their purpose to post here just to poison the atmosphere. I couldn't care less what you think. If I am within the guidelines, if I am breaking no accepted rules as evidenced in writing, then I am perfectly entitled to proceed as I see appropriate. If you don't like it, stay out of this thread.

Haha, that LMGTFY site is awesome. Thanks for that killing, goes straight to my bookmarksthe.killing.44 wrote:http://tinyurl.com/2d8evzc
I am done and I agree with natty.

I think the point that everyone trying to make (that you seem congenitally incapable of absorbing) is that you are making it more difficult for people to be positive and constructive. It would literally take you five minutes a go to keep the first post updated. And to be honest, if you're not intending to develop this map for live play, then why not go to the cartographer's guild and do maps there?Raskholnikov wrote:So if you want to be positive and constructive and help us coming up with something cool, you're more than welcome to contribute. If you just want to bully and harrass and annoy and show who's boss, you will be ignored.
thanks Incandenza. you did understand what I meant - yes I had interest for this map and I tried to help with some notices. I wanted to help also with my post about communication. Raskholnikov your mind is too closed, try open it also for others ideas.Incandenza wrote: And there's no goddamn good reason to go off on theBastard, he's been as supportive of your endeavors as anyone. The foundry is a collaborative medium, and your distressing penchant for completely freaking out every time someone posts something other than "this map is amazing" rather contradicts the core ethos of this forum.

Is this map intended for live play on CC?Incandenza wrote: And to be honest, if you're not intending to develop this map for live play, then why not go to the cartographer's guild and do maps there?
These are the basics which are needed when posting map updates to help make your development thread as easy to understand and follow as possible:
1. Post image links in [bigimg] tags.
2. List what you have changed for this update.
3. List what is on your To Do list
4. List points that you feel need attention for discussion.
5. In addition to posting your update at the end of the thread, please keep the first post of the map thread up to date: The "first post" should always reflect the most current version of the map, and the title should include the date and page number of the most recent update.
These basic points will give a community member the information they need to best give feedback on your map, whether they have been regularly following your map, or are reviewing it for the first time.

I just love the perspective, and it will be one of the few maps I will play with interest. Might even become a new favorite, and I am helluva picky.
I think a map has to have beauty as well as brilliance. Just as a woman. And this map is beautiful.
porkenbeans wrote:Thank you so much paulk for the fine revue. I too liked that version a lot. But Rast is the Director on this project, and he has a different vision. I hope that I can make him happy with this latest version, and maybe you will like it as well. Fingers crossed, and please stay tuned.
I am getting sick and tired of all maps on CC that are ugly. I just thought this one was very beautiful, and therefore would be nice to play just because of that.Raskholnikov wrote:I also liked the color pallette and the symbols on the map at the top. However, I had a big problem with the land borders, which are utterly distorted, and the darkness of the map which makes the roads and symbols almost unreadable - and that. on the large version!
Let's see what the next draft looks like and how we can get to something that is visually as nice as the top map but more accurate and clearer.
Great work, Pork. I'm sure we'll come up with something really unique in the end!
I can just say that the first post can be updated now and then with drafts, or links to drafts, like a summary. But I am guilty too of not putting up every version on the first page.Incandenza wrote:Is it really too much to ask that you guys keep the first post updated, so that you don't waste people's time by forcing them to hint for the most recent draft?
